It would seriously be so much funner if they had it to where it was so easier to be jedi or atleast make it easier to master a proffesion.

Mastering professions is rather easy if you now what you are doing... I recently(10 days ago) started a new toon on different server from my mains. I haven't put that much effort into that toon, because my guild has needed me a lot and it takes a lot of work running my business, but in 10 days I have managed to get to Master Brawler/TKA 2344/Doctor 4114. I do realize that this would be much more difficult for a new player, because they don't know what tehy are doing, but if I can master 3 professions in under 2 weeks, I don't think it is too difficult.


To make this relative to Business and Economy... I will point out that I am flat broke and that while running 2 or 3 missions with a group will take me an hour or more, and I get great XP,getting 15k-20k for the trouble is definatly not worth it. Once I do get to my triple master though I won't run missions for credits anymore, I will instead go camp the high level loot drops and make my cash that way.

Perhaps they should turn the tables, everyone begins as a Jedi and then need to get a normal profession the same way Jedi is aquired today (throught the village phases).

Becoming a jedi is a lot easier than what it used to be. Personally, I wish they would set a server limit on Jedi to about 10.

/realize that you'll have to adjust a bit, this isn't the same game it was 6 months ago. They're trying to make all professions viable,going back and forth from one to the other "Looking for the Skills" in each profession. If you're going to look at a profession with "What's the Best Moves? What is the profession good for?" Then you didn't do your part is TESTING during respec, and choosing what is "RIGHT" for you, not what is the Flavour of the Month & Why isn't it easier to master that template.


How about instead of being what you want to be, create a character for what is lacking in your every day hunts. If you find that your group is dying alot, create a character to REZ. If your group cannot kill something, perhaps you need to look and a dmg dealing profession.

What would a cap on Jedi really mean, Im guessing you were one of the first 10 on your server?


In this system, it would mean that those 10 Jedi wouldn't take very long to get all the +25 tapes they need to have a full suit of mods.


In this system, with Jedi vs BH being "1-1" with no TEF activity, those 10 Jedi would be walking pay cheques, or hiding pay cheques, They wouldn't be able to go out in public because 1 in 5 BHs are holding their mission just waiting to see them.


BH would be a profession to complain about "Im sick of going after the same s, I killthem everyday and thereshe isagain. ARGH!"

I just don't get it, complaining for the sake of complaining? The only real thing special about Jedi is how HARD it is to get one. Period. Almost every profession, esspeicaly ones with Master Level Weapons that don't have elemental, all do more dmg than Jedi. With a stack of bliels and good stims, and nicely timed snares and roots, You can be far more powerful than any Jedi. When it comes down to it, if they ever fix commando, all the Rs will have a new flamebait.

Commando = AOE + Radius = Nuke Effect = Commando is broken 2 months after the CU goes live because they're affraid. Jedi is nothing to fear, or , the fact that they gets fixes and other professions don't is because of how strongly people feel that Jedi ties to StarWars.

Jedi get more fixes because they cry the loudest on the forums add to that the sheer amount of Jedi and it = special attention.

This game was seriously soooooo much better before the Jedi infestation. Jesus I remember when everyone went holo crazy and I though nah they will never make it easier for people to become jedi. But them wham they up and did it. All the Jedi proff has done is take time and energy away from professions that have been in a perpetual state of disarray some of them from launch.

Look at Commando they were awesome for like 5 months then they went and broke em again. Their flamethrower was a bit extreme but they stomped them into the ground.

I don't think Squad Leader ever was useful but then again I haven't played one after the CU.

Smugglers never have had anything to smuggle.

Weaponsmiths and Armorsmiths have had at least 4 major bugs continually since launch, and many many minor bugs as well.

DE's well they definitley need to be looked at. I mean they are not just seeker and arakyd droid producers.

They never did balance out pistol/carbine/rifle damage to speed ratios taking into account ranges. And it is only worse with CU since many weps are level based and not certed in their trees.

The list goes on. But instead of a smuggler revamp or a list of many other revamps they could of done to fix their game they decide to fix Jedi. When they break Jedi in a meaningful way they fix em really quickly too. Armorsmiths are still waiting for our factory crate bug and faction armor bug to be fixed and the faction armor bug is game breaking.


This is not to say all everything in the Jedi trees work or is viable but they have more going for them then any other profession in this game and they get more attention from the devs which is a.s.s.backwards in my opinion.
