Start by getting some heavy (BER13) mineral harvesters (don't worry about floras, water, or chem right now). The harvs should cost you around 100-120k each (borrow the money if you have to). COST 1m-1.2m

Get some radio power (1-2 cpu). You'll want about 25k per harv. Remember that you get power twice as much as the actual units if the PE>500. COST 250k-500k

You'll need credits for maintenance. Figure 25k for each harv. COST 250k

Get the ability to survey at max range (Artisan 0004). Use a sample macro after opening your survey tool and selecting a resource found in the area. You can do this in atown for safety.COST zip

SampleMacro

/stand;

/pause 2;

/sample;

/pause 4;

/sit;

/pause 28;

/macro SampleMacro;

TOTAL COST 1.5m-2m

OK - now you're set. Find a mining contract on your trade board paying at least 3 cpu. Once you find one, answer it as long as the resource hasn't been out for more than a day or so (otherwise the very high concentration sites are probably already taken). Most people copy the resource stats fromwww.swgcraft.com. Best planets to mine on are Tat, Lok, Dant, Cor, and Nab though the last three are more difficult because they have heavy populations which makes finding good harvest sites a challenge.

Go to the planet(s) that has the resource and head for a flatter region with few towns. Create a survey macro:

Surveying

/survey;

/pause 15;

/tell[yourname] STOP;

/pause 3;

/macro surveying;

Pull out your handy-dandy mineral survey tool and select the resource you want as well as maximum range. Hop on your bike and hit the macro. You should be able to make it to the next survey waypoint (which shows the maximum concentration in the area) before having to stop and survey again. If there is no resource detected (it happens), type the /dump command to kill the macro, cruise for 1km and try again. You don't have to dismount to survey.

Once you've located maximum concentration (get something over 70%), put your harvs down in a cluster. Be mindful of slopes, houses, and lairs which interfere with placing harvs. Once you have them placed near each other (you'll have to move around a bit to get them all down on good concentrations), create a macro to administer the harv:

HarvMIN

/pause 1;

/structureStatus;

/pause 30;

/harvesterActivate;

/name \#ff0033\Acme Heavy Mineral Mining;

This macro will show you the status, afterwhich you have 30 secs to open the operational panel, select the resource, and put in 25k each of power and credits before the harvester activates. Some people like to add a line to include their alt on the Admin List (ex. /setpermission Admin [youraltname];). Change the color and the name to whatever you wish.

So now you should have up to 10 harvs mining away with enough juice and credits to go about 11-12 days. If you haven't done so, create an account at Star Wars Galaxies Resource Notifier (http://www.swgrn.com/main.php) and it will send you an email when the resource goes out of shift. Head back to your harvs, collect the resource out of the hopper, and redeed the harv by destroying it.

You should now have about 1m units of mineral for which you should get at least 3m credits. If you really want to get into it, you can do lot trades with other servers for the static fields mentioned in other posts. Also pick up one of Nicholas Anderson's lot management spreadsheets if you use more than 10 harvs. Happy Harvesting!

How the heck are you doing it. I have been told space. I go out and spend 54 min in space and get the loot and sell it to the dealer and get only like 1k to 3k per piece for around 20k total..... what happened to the "dude I made like 200k an hour in space" was that bs??!?!

I tried ground missions. Yea right......

I tried loot. Doh, Swg nerf......

I tried high end mobs. Without the millions to buy the armor, attatchments, weapons, you get incapped in 20 sec even with a decent template.

Crafting? Without Millions to get started to by resources to make competitive products, yours sunk.......

Hunting? Maybe....But I would lose my combat templete and the cycle of "nothavinggoodCAs/AAs/armor/soyougetgankedbythemob" will start argain.

What can I do.

I run auctions for my guild mates and charge 5% for items that sell less than a Million and 10% per item over 1 million credits.....I also do BH missions....looted a +9 pistol acc/+15 ranged acc CA the other day and then sold it in 5 minutes for 10 million....

IT CAN BE DONE.......IT CAN WORK FOR YOU...TRY MY SYSTEM TODAY.....
