Examples to consider:
Lakes- 4 week build cycle. Limit to 1 per city and/or 4-5 per planet.
Libraries- 3 week build cycle- 4 week upgrade addition- Fiction and stories of datapads. Free access to visit and read. Possibly include holos, give us all a visual novelty. Limit 1 per planet, must be in Metropolis
Theater- 3 week for small, 6 week for large, 9 week for advanced theater(upper/lower floors, cantina, etc) 1 per Metropolis, 5 per server
Race Garage-track- 8 week build cycle, 4 week upgrade. Think Episode 1 at the races. Once a week the place will be the host of the big races. 4 per server.
Im sure there are other things we could think of.

/bumping...for the sake of bumping. Also cuz its a good idea which will help us crafters get some "high-end" content.

I am sorry to say, you completly missed his point... no where in his post did he take anything away from any profession... he gave something to each profseeion to do, even if it was contrived. You would be trying to give something to one profession while not adding anything to another profession.

The thing I find lacking with swg is the ease in which one can create these things.I wish there was some sort of "massive project" an entire group of people could work on. some thing that no one perrson could possibly do on their own. It would take a group of 20-50 people several months to accomplish and cost a pretty penny to complete.some ideas I have swimming around in my head are:- Shipyards in space for each of the 3 pilot professions (neutral, imp and rebel) basically building a ouptost in space created by architechs, weasponsmiths, armorsmiths and various other crafting profession each contributing to the project inphases. The rewards for helping in the project would be abliity pilots of the same faction could dock and run around in those areas or ships, help maintain them and have adventures there.-Bulding capital ships once the shipyards are complete. these ships won't nessesarily be controlled by players as they would be too powerfull but maybe once completed they would float around in space being controlled by npc's but players could run around in them and possibly man a turret or perform repairs, repel boarders and such. Each of these project would require, as mentioned above, many people to complete, cost alot to build and maintain. Also these projects would be vulerable to some degree of damage or destruction, thus causeing more work, money, resources to maintain.I believe massive projects such as the couple mentioned above would add to the GCW in that all three factions would be competing against each other in order to complete their projects and attempt to damage/destroy the other groups projects.I don't believe there is enough risk vs reward in the game..... things that get built.... ultimately need to get damage and/or destoyed thus repairs and/or creation of new things are needed and that will help keep the economy flowing properly.my 2 cents.

Large projects for cities would be great if they could module add-ons for cities so that the projects don't take up precious housing space or exist in the air above the city and take up minimal lot space.

Interesting angle, how about in space above the city. Personally I have always thought that a guild space station would be great... perhaps even allow shuttling between the city space station and the city shuttleport, and ships to land at the guild space station..

Well when I said space, I didn't mean in JTL space. I was speaking of all terrestial and subatmosphere level.
