So often I've gone into medical centres needing healing. Instead of healing, I see afk healers healing afk tumblers. A few times I've even been told that "no I can't heal you, I'm busy"....healing tumblers again.
Either allow us to heal ourselves, or give us 265 skill points.
Better yet, remove the certs for stim a/b health and wound packs. I'm not a doctor in real life, but I do know how to put on a band aid.

You make a good point.
At novice medic you are able to use the "B" packs, why not make the "A"s a general cert like the CDEF. They are very low heal, so in a rush you still need to find a medic, but if not you can atleast heal your health and action.

NO NO NO
NPCS should NEVER replace the function of a player profession no matter what.
If anything doctors need to quit feeding the lazy and move their ops out of the starports and into the med centers (I would encourage this by upping the duration of the buffs if they are obtained in a med center.
Yea I might consider this if med centers didn't give me suckier buffs when compared to what my droid can do....
And for the title of the thread.... there are no doctors in cantinas because you cannot heal in them.

Medic needs to be a skill you devote skillpoints to sorry. That is the way it should be. Its not that novice medic dosent give great bonuses either stim bs woundpacks tendwound firstaid had a way to stop bleeding. You can drag incapped players.
Whats so hard about forking over the 15 points. I am sorry if you made your character 1 directional but that is your choice. There is a reason I am a MBH novice CH. I cannot give up my medic I love it too much. I like being self reliant. If you have decided 100 percent combat you already have huge advantages, but this is a price you must pay. Learn to live with it.
If you cannot you still have a out in camps and medcenters. This is like a BH complaining about not being able to make his own droids. Like was said above you really need to tip the medics. You know what if you tip a medic handsomely they will go heal other people, because they feal valued. So whenever you tip a medic your makeing the situation better for all. If you are not viewing a medic as a valueable service like the buffline and the smuggler. Then obviously you can do without it.
