As a Master Merchant I happen to love the vendor search. Especially for those crafters/merchants on remote planets. Afterall, a great WS or AS may be on Rori, but most people wouldn't know it, because its such a light travelled planet. I have found some serious sweetheart deals by using the vendor search. And, I've been able to guessimate my pricing on new items because of looking at other vendor pricing.

Yes, I understand that some may say there is no need to attain the planet advertising skill, but I have to disagree. Another beauty of vendor search, is, as these clients come to buy somthing from another merchant, they could very well have their map on and see my merchants (who could be selling something else they need). They saved time shopping, and I've made some additional cred, all because my merchants were still being advertised on the map. I especially like it now that most have sold back that feature and my merchants are not lost in the crowd.

Price fixing is generally opposed by crafters.

rightly so, while alot of crafters overprice, this is a free market economy and I oppose all handouts, caps, and socailistic options.

I'm going to set my prices to be exactly what I want them to be, no higher, no lower.

I sympathize with those turned off by the current vendor search interface. It has enough query features to be useful, but the underlying classification system is not well laid out (to massively understate the problem).

The interface appears to allow one to search for, say, a T21 between 5 credits and 100 credits. I've never tried this limited a search, butI haveeffectivelysearched for skill tapes on a wider price range. I suspect a great deal of dissatisfaction may be simply the fact of not finding items available at or below the price one is willing to spend. Personally, I can sympathize with this too, since I seldom find items priced near what I am willing to pay.
