Dont forget that if you are a dabbler, you may no longer have the cert for the weapon you are using. The CU will very likely move around where certs are granted. Plus there will be new weapons, (Friday Feature), so you may find anothe rone that you love even more than the one you use now.

I was thinking about these veteran rewards yesterday and came to an interesting conclusion. I think its very possible that these had 2 purposes when implemented by the devs. The first being the obvious one of rewarding longtime players with a means to preserve cherished gear. The second purpose i believe is that they are being used indirectly as a way of removing the vast majority of high end weaponry from the servers. But they protect a item, so how are they removing them you may ask?... simple. Here's how it works, a player gets their AD kit and drops it on their finest gear as planned. Well now that the player realizes they can do this repeatedly they are now FAR more likely to invest in a Uber piece of equipment so they will begin shopping for even better gear, at which point they will destroy the previous gear and re-apply the ad kit to the new gear. This means that most uber weapons that are aquired will only have a single owner before they are destroyed, where as previously they could of been sold countless times to different individuals. This is whats happening right now and I think its a very clever plan on the devs behalf. Im willing to wager that more then 50% of the high end gear has already been destroyed in the endless AD kit climb since they have been introduced into the game.

Very interesting stuff to ponder.

any idiot who does that...

id sell the weapon, use some of the money to buy another kit and use the rest towards my new uber weapon.

No-one would destroy a great weapon, they would just look for a part exchange for a new ADK plus cash.

Well....I'm a master Weaponsmith and I say that the Anti-decay kits don't bother me a bit. The very best weapons deserve to live forever. It immortalizes our best work. As said earlier, once a better item is crafted, then the old weapon gets destroyed as the ADK gets recycled. The only problem is when the ADK's get too common. I think that they ought to be limited to three kits per character. (Due to some people selling theirs.) This way a player can't ADK all their stuff. Three seems like a reasonable number. One for their favorite weapons, one for their best piece of armor, and one for anything they wish.
