I always wondered what the armor powerup catagory was used for on the bazaar.

I'd like to comment that it's a major flaw in the game. You have a price cap of what, 6,000 credits. Majority of the goods are all junk that nobody really wants to buy. Maybe a reason why we don't have planet to planet trading is because of the bazaar for starters -- their could be other reasons -- i know their are people who wanted to be smugglers/space transporters/delivery boys. What's the point in having it when you can just sell goods at the prices you want on your own vendor. The bazaar is a tool of the past. Let's get rid of it and improve the game so people can conduct business like businessmen.

categories totally blow, there are WAY too many things that fall into misc... and factory crates should NOT be a category, it should be a toggle option like "include factory crated items in the search"
and i also personally feel we shouldnt have to resort to travel packs with fancy colors in the right spot being our "headings" so to speak. there should be a "general information" box where we can put up notes, etc to our customers

Way back when, the Bazaar was called the Commodities Market. If that's what it stayed (in name and function) then it would have been(and still could be) great. The glactic flea market thing isn't a bad idea (I'd really hate going from vendor to vendor in seach of blue rug sections 3, 6, and 7) it is really not functional on the level of being (and shouldn't be) the one-stop shop for everything.

If categories really worked, we wouldn't need them.
For those interested, now that they are backing off the idea and actually considering doing this the right way as opposed to the simple-but-deadly way, I have a thread up about what I think can be improved with the vendor system. Check it out.

I agree that a rehaul of the category system is LONG overdue. Some things don't even make sense where they currently are and the biggest annoyance has to be factory crates!

But if there is a revamp, how am i going to find my armor power ups, and Armor Attatchments (so convinently listed under clothing attatchments).

I would just like to see the category on the item whe I examine it. I have no idea if certain paintings will be in the furniture category or the Misc items category.I am very excited to hear that the devs are looking into the vendor system. There are many things that can be done, and this will be fun to see the changes.

Even getting down to brass tacks, the "general item" category is far too bloated to make it useful. Too many items are lumped into this category, whereas there are other categories that are completely irrelevant (Glasses, entities, armor upgrades, etc). Weapon and Resource searches are an excercise in patience.
We need better, more narrow categories and a way to search them.
