From a customer point of view, i have to say: "the economy s*cks!".
I am from Germany and some of you might know that there was a "socialistic" Dictatorship next door for quite a time. click here for more info
Wayne?! Well we are still joking a lot about the economic circumstances that reigned in the DDR (the socialistic dictatorship i spoke about), they lacked basically everything and had to stand, drive, wait around for hours and sometimes days to get what they need.
The funny thing, thats exactly what i experience in SWG. As soon as i want to have a nicer or more special item, the economy fails.
I guess part of the problem is that crafters don't need to work on their business. There is not much to lose if you have a unsuccesful month of business. So why care?
More risk more gain. Thats damn true but for SWG you can gain with neigh no risk which is, if you ask me, one of the roots to the problem explained above.
Whats the connection to this thread? Well, i'd say we have rather socalistic economy characteristics than capitalistic onces in SWG right now. Captialism is pimping and socialism is trying to make humans all good.

Correct me if I'm wrong but...
Isn't a tenet of communism the abolition of private property?
Why would I play if I can't accumulate a great deal of wealth for myself?
