If you don't want to have your own vendor, then work out a deal with a merchant. We should be working on a system to enhance merhcnat and allow them to actually have an interface for selling other peoples stuff. The last thing we need to do is undermine the Merchant profession by making the Bazaar better.
Totally agree. Merchants = the only (non-combat) profession that hasnever gotten any added benefits. The interface should be "hands-free", where the merchantis not required to actually handle the goods (but has the optionif needed). That way, trust is not an issue (like in slicing).
Letsget back on topic to the bazaar issues and keep this bumped!

Well I do think that talking about Merchant is 100% relative to Bazaar issues. If you make the Bazaar better you hurt merchants.

My ideas cannot possibly hurt merchants. When the cap was raised to 6k, I was able to sell crafting/repair tools at 5k instead of being undercut by others at 3k. This willprove true for other professions that are being undercut at 6k for items priced at 10k on vendors. I don't think 10k or less items are anyone's bread and butter, except maybe Tailors, but with the huge variety of colors/clothing they sell, 25 items is a drop in the bucket. Allowing "lots" of items is even less of a threat. Changing the "premium" option = no threat. Allow searching = no threat. Allowing uncapped auctions won't be a threat for several reasons. The item limit is still 25, and most crafters deal in volumes much greater than that (dueto variety and average quantities sold of each type of item). Very few professions, if any, could turn to auctions rather than player vendors. BE's and DE'sare really the only ones who would greatly benefit by this, and I'd say they make up a tiny tiny % of sales. Also, who would want to bid on those items and wait for 7 days to expire? That wait will deter sales as ppl won't want to wait and sellers won't want to have to wait 7 days to sell an item.
There's no reason to completely brush off changes to such a potentially awesome system such as the bazaar just because Merchant is lackluster. There's a whole lot that can beadded for merchants, while still making the bazaar a great tool.

I would agree with your ideas, mostly, yet only if the unlimited auction feature was for loot only. I just think that is a bad idea for crafted items.
