Back when there were corpse runs it made sense to have credits on hand as well as credits in your bank account. But since corpse runs are no more why do we still have these 2 different places for cash. Why not just combine them together? is there a reason this wouldnt be a good idea? am i missing something?
Just something to think about...

Why does it matter?

It's a money sink. So when the silly rich people, whodon't realize that there is no reason not to have all their credits on hand, bank tip me, some of their money goes back into the game, forever lost (those damn greedy npc bankers).

It just seems like a useless game feature that no longer serves any purpose. I realize this is an extremely minor issue (to say the least) but it just strikes me as odd why its still in the game like this. *shrugs*

I think dragon 492 hit it on the head. Money in the bank occasionally serves as a money drain when the 5% surcharge is charged.

It'd make sense to me that when ya die, you lose the cash on hand.
**shrug**
Or better yet, the cash on hand if you die goes to your killer if you PvP
That wouldmake things intesting. *You Loot 52252 credits from the corpse of XXXXXXX*

I would say take out two places to keep money but they are both useful. In-game trades take cash in order to complete one. If I don't know or trust someone I want the cash in the trade window. The bank tip is one of the few money sinks thatis in this game. In order to balance the economy we still need the bank.
They are both useful and are both needed so keep them both in-game.

As people have said, bank tips are needed to drain some credits out. Also, it adds to the sense of realism, since you would have credits (like the ones you looted) on your person, and ones (like transfered from missions) in your bank account. The system is good how it is.

/agree
The System is Very Good, I dont need to travel from the Prison on Dathomir to Mos Entha because mychild needs shuttle fare or a new chest plate.
If you dont like all your credits in two places, goto a vendor. It's listed in Credits: not bank/cash.

In addition to the already stated reasons one was just added with the last publish. Funds in your bank will be automaticly used to pay maintenance on any structures you may have up but not fully paid. If you don't want them to be automatically syphoned out of your bank account and would rather your structures die then keep all your money in cash. The difference is subtle but at this point taking it out is a step back. By putting all of my money into cash every night I can easily see how much money I made off of my vendor last night or how much money I've made so far today on missions ect.... Just because it doesn't have a strong mechanic behind it is no reason to get rid of it.
