Many people are concerned nowadays with the state of making Credits within the game. While there are plenty of ways, I am not going to be rehashing them here. I highly suggest you seek out RelicOMO's "How to make 1 Million", "How to make 10 Million" and "How to make 100 Million" posts in this very forum, as they will give you a good basis on how to do those very things.
I will be concentrating on helping the Business Forum readers on knowing which items are worthwhile to be sold either in-game or via your specific Galaxy Trade Forum. This article outlays whichLooted Weapon Componentsare desired by Weaponsmiths.
It is important to consider which Combat Professions are popular in your Galaxy. One serer may have more Riflemen, another more Pikemen. Whichever style is popular can and WILL dictate what a Weaponsmith will make and accept. If you get some of these Items, and wish to Market them, use your specific Galaxy Forum as research material, to see what you could sell the item for. Get to know the Search function on the Forums as well, because it can make your study much faster. I did not assemble this list - I merely display it here for this community. All thanks to the original poster.
MELEE WEAPONS
A) VIBRO UNITS (used in Vibro Knucklers, Vibro Blades, Lances (2), Vibro Lances (2)and Long Vibro Axes (3))
Advanced Vibro Blade Unit (WS crafted): -0.34 speed, dmg 25-38 (any looted vibro units withlower stats are not worthy)
1) LIGHTWEIGHT VIBRO BLADE UNITS (from Jabba's Theme park and some Nym NPCs): these vibro units have -.5 speed and 25-30 dmg. Even having a lesser damage range than the standard WS crafted blade unit, its lower speed can produce nice "training" Vks and pikes. Medium to highinterest.
2) NIGHTSISTER VIBRO BLADE UNITS (from Axkva Min, the Nightsister Matriarch). These rares vibro units can vary from a wide range of damages, some of them amazing ones. These vibro blade units are necessary for crafting the Nightsister Energy Lance. You can also build any "vibro" weapon using them. The best VK I ever seen was crafted using one of these units. Very high interest.
B) VIBRO MOTORS (are enhancers for the vibro units)
These enhancers cannot be crafted by a weaponsmith.
Most of these enhancers come from Nym Droidekas / NPCs.
1) HIGH POWERED NYM VIBROMOTOR: +20 or more maximun damage. Very high interest.
2) HIGH FREQUENCY VIBRO MOTOR: can grant +5 or more wounds to the vibro unit. Low interest.
3) FINELY TUNED VIBRO MOTOR: reduces the speed of the vibro unit in -0.2. They can produce even better training vibro knucklers and pikesthan lightweight vibro blade units:lower speed and the full damage range of the serial ones. Medium to high interest.
4) HEAVY DUTY VIBRO MOTOR: (these can be dropped by a lot of NPCs) integrity +200. Grants more condition of the final weapon. Lowto medium interest.
C) REINFORCED CORES (cores of the "blunt weapons": power hammer, gaderiffi, stun baton, 2-h axe. They are different of Sword Cores!)
Advanced reinforced core (WS crafted): -0.57 Speed and 41-41 dmg, range ~17(any looted cores with lower stats are not worthy)
1) GEONOSIAN REINFORCED CORES: Geonosian caves in Yavin IV. Always check the aboveWS stats and compare. Sometimes the geonosian coresrange and speedis higher than the WS crafted, so they can work fine for some "light power hammers". 95% of these looted cores are trash, but keep an eye of them and show them to your weaponsmith if you see some stat significantly higher than stated. Most of them low interest.
2) ACKLAY BONES: Acklay, final boss of the Geonosian caves. They replace the reinforced core of the above mentioned weapons, and they dramaticallyenhance the damagewhen the bones are good enough. Better "blunt" weapons in the game are crafted using acklay bones.Base dmg of the bones are 65-65, but even these are worthy. Very high interest.
D) SWORD CORE (cores of the bladed weapons: 1 handed and 2 handed curved swords, cleaver (2), ryyk, etc.)
Advanced sword core (WS crafted): -0.609 Speed and 43-43 dmg., range ~18 (any looted cores with lower stats are not worthy)
1) GEONOSIAN SWORD CORE: exactly the same I said about the reinforcement cores. These swords cores can be used for crafting the famous Scythe Blade and the Executioner's Hack, but as long as geonosian sword cores weaponsmiths can craft (from a loot schematic from geo caves too)are in 99% of the times far better than looted ones, we prefer to use our own crafted cores for that purpose. Most of them low interest.
2) RANCOR TOOTH / BILE SOAKED RANCOR TOOTH: loot from rancors. They have very low minimum damage and higher maximum damage. Lower speed and more HAM consumption. They replace the sword core. Low to medium interest.
E) GEONOSIAN ENHANCERS FOR MELEE (used for crafting the WS made geonosian reinforced core and geonosian sword core)
Geonosian sword core (WS crafted) comes from a wide range of speed - damage depending of geo enhancers used. Basical yellow core / basical geonosian solidifying agent maximun damage is 56 in the core. This number go up when better yellow cubes and solidifyings are used. But as we are focusing about what component is worthy or not, lets see what's interesting in all these geo loot:
1) POWER CUBE (WHITE): no stats on them. Trash. No interest.
2) POWER CUBE (RED): lowers encumbrance / HAM consumptions. As the HAM reduction is always low, these cubes are no itneresting for us, but they must be precious for armorsmiths (I think they are required for crafting the R.I.S., not sure on this point). Weaponsmith interest low, high armorsmith interest.
3) POWER CUBE (YELLOW): from 10 to higher damage addition. A must for crafting our WS Geonosian Cores. Very high interest.
4) POWER CUBE (GREEN): they are mostly used for increasing the tiny durability of unenhanced DXR6 Tenloss rifle and Geonosian Sonic Blasters. If you are planning about getting a geonosian firearm built, these are very interesting.
5) SOLIDIFYING AGENTS: the famous "glues" from Geonosian. They can be used for additional damage when crafting geonosian cores.Very high interest.
FIREARMS
A) BLASTER POWER HANDLERS (They are used for most firearms)
Advanced blaster power handler (WS crafted): -0.41 speed, dmg 20-41 (everything lower than this is not worthy)
1) HEAVY DUTY POWER CONVERTER (ENHANCER): (from a lot of different NPCs) +200 integrity (condition) of the weapon. Low to medium interest.
2) HIGH POWERED ENERGY CAPACITOR (ENHANCER): (from NYM staff and Droidekas). +20 maximun damage. A cheap way to enhance +20 damage to some low level pistols or carbines. Very interesting if they come in a serie of 6 or more.
3) HIGH ENERGY CAPACITOR (ENHANCER): (from NYM and Droidekas). -0.2 speed. As they come usually in short serials, they are not worthy. Low interest.
4) KRAYT TISSUE (ENHANCER): (from Krayt Dragons in Tatooine) The best power handler enhancer. They come from +30 damage and up. Best firearms in the game are crafted using these. Very high interest.
B) PROJECTILE FEED MECHANISM (used by FWG5, Striker pistol, Tusken rifle, Berserker rifle, Launcher pistol and Tangle pistol)
Advanced Projectile Feed Mechanism (WS crafted): -0.39 speed and 20-40 damage (everything lower than this is not worthy)
1) HIGH VELOCITY FEED MECHANISM (ENHANCER): (Nym and Droidekas)+20 max. damage. Another cheap way to enhance +20 damage one of the a.m. weapons when spider fangs or gorax bones are not in hand. Very high interest.
2) BALANCED FEED MECHANISM (ENHANCER): (Nym and Droidekas). -0.2 Speed. Low interest.
3) SPIDER FANG: (Geo Lab in Yavin, the Fire Spider). They can enhance the projectile feed mechanism in the way a krayt tissue does with a blaster power handler. Damage go from +19 to +41 (as the forums say.. maximum spider fang I ever seen was about 35). Very interesting.
4) GORAX BONES: (the Gorax, Endor): best enhancer for a projectile feeded weapon, and a MUST for a berserker rifle. I have seen some with an insane amount of damage. I had the honor of crafting one of the best -if not THE BEST- berserker rifle in ALL-SERVERS using a gorax bone that was around 100 dmg (cannot remember the exact number). Very high interest.
C) BARRELS (most of firearms have one built-in)
Advanced Projectile Pistol Barrel (WS crafted): -1.06 speed and 20-20 damage (everything lower than this is not worthy)
Advanced Projectile Rifle Barrel (WS crafted): -0.55 speed and 20-20 damage (idem.)
Advanced Blaster Pistol Barrel (WS crafted): -0.75 speed and 15-15 damage (idem.)
Advandec Blaster Rifle Barrel (WS crafted): -0.33 speed and 12-12 damage (idem.)
1) HIGH CALIBER PROJECTILE PISTOL BARREL: (Jabba's Theme park, and sometimes is dropped also by NYM npcs. I got some from a tusken once too) 20-25 damage. They can add a little extra punch of +5 maximum damage. Not bad when we are crafting a krayt scatter, for instance. Very interesting.
2) HIGH CALIBER PROJECTILE RIFLE BARREL: (Imperial Theme Park) 25-30 dmg, -0.4 speed, +20 wounds and +15 ideal range. A very nice enhanced barre that adds +5 minimum and +10 maximum damage. It's a shame it can be used just for the almost unused tusken rifle and the berserker rifle. Very rare to find in the market, tho. High interest, more for its rarity than for its effectiveness.
3) HIGH VELOCITY BLASTER PISTOL BARREL: (Not sure if they come from Imperial or Jabba theme parks) 20-25 dmg, -0.7 speed, 25 wound and ideal range +12. +5/+10 final damage too. Another very good enhancement. Very interesting.
4) BERSERKER STABILIZER: (Corvette) Necessary for crafting the berserker rifle. Very interesting.
5) DE-10 BARREL: (Death Watch Bunker, Yavin). Necessary for crafting the DE-10 pistol. Very interesting. (Don't be obsessed by the "yellow" barrels... as stats are hidden I have built DE10s with a "white" barrel much better than others crafted with "yellow" ones)
D) STOCKS (most carbines, rifles and special heavy weapons can be upgraded with those. Most WS -as me- ALWAYS upgrade their weapons with them)
Advanced Weapon Stock (WS crafted): 40-40 dmg, +0.295 speed, HAM 26/25/26 (these stats may vary a bit because stock experimentation is borked) No stocks from loot so far, just the following:
1) FORMFITTED WEAPON STOCK: (Imperial Theme Park, and very rare!) Great enhancer. Their stats are 25-30 damage, -0.5 speed (yes... this component lower the weapon final speed instead of increasing it!) wound 10 and ideal range 15. No HAM consumption! The bad part is that this component is very very rare. This is specially useful for crafting flamethrowers and decreasing their speed and it's great also for "light" T21 rifles that can be fired unbuffed with not so severes HAM penalties. Very high interest.
E) SCOPES (most firearms can be upgraded with those. Most WS -as me- ALWAYS upgrade their weapons with them)
A weaponsmith can craft a scope of a lot of ways, for increasing wounds, range, etc. Me, personally, craft 2 types (in some different looks also)
Normal scope (WS crafted): range 18, HAM 0/0/0 (I use these normal scopes for a light range enhance for pistols and some carbines)
Advanced Scope (WS crafted): range 41, HAM 13/13/13 (extra range for "serious" weapons as carbines and rifles)
No scopes from loot so far, just the following:
1) PRECISION TUNED WEAPON SCOPE: (Imperial Theme Park, they are given most times). +20 or +25 range, HAM 20/20/25. Always inferior than the scopes a master WS can craft, these scopes simply sucks.I think this is a hidden imperial strategy for implementing these scopes to rebel troops.No interest at all.

very nice layout, but I was wondering where Klilnik glands weigh in as opposed to Krayt tissues as an enhancer. Not all of us can go hunt krayts regularly and if these are even halfway decent might help to make at least a semi-uber weapon.
Just wondering, but otherwise awesome work!

Well, speaking as a FORMER Weaponsmith, I'll have to go on memory. The Krayt tissues are used to make Power Handlers, which are used in Firearms and Power Hammers. Since these are 2 of the most desired types of weapons in the game, they are inherently valuable. The Glands are used in the making of Munition (Grenades), along with Ackley Venom.

As you can see from the examples, the Ackley venom is far more useful in terms of Damage, and therefore useful in the higher level grenade types. The limitation is that with the FS grind, people are looking for Quantity in addition to Quality - The addition of these items makes for a limited run on your Grenades. Weaponsmith could sell a small run of Grenadesat a premium, but would depend on their normal stock for the majority of sales. I'd call it "Limited Interest" to Weaponsmiths.

Only nades then not in other weapons what a jip... oh well at least I'll be able to clear some space out my storage vendor now. You're sure this cant be used in making other weapons right?

Afraid so - there is an excellent list of what is needed for Weapon Enhancements at SWGCraft.com - A good for aspiring WS and even well established ones.

Add no interest to anything that says heavy duty, totally broken. And precision tuned scopes are sometimes used to create high wound weapons as they beat crafted ones

These also add alot to the HAM of the weapon, if memory serves they are 25/25/25 while crafted ones are typically 10/10/10 or lower, these would be of low interest to myself

These also increase the speed of the weapon so if you aren't speed capped beware
Decrease in HAM is nice
Decrease in accuracy though too

It's a shame it can be used just for the almost unused tusken rifle and the berserker rifle. Very rare to find in the market, tho. High interest, more for its rarity than for its effectiveness.
3) HIGH VELOCITY BLASTER PISTOL BARREL: (Not sure if they come from Imperial or Jabba theme parks) 20-25 dmg, -0.7 speed, 25 wound and ideal range +12. +5/+10 final damage too. Another very good enhancement. Very interesting.
4) BERSERKER STABILIZER: (Corvette) Necessary for crafting the berserker rifle. Very interesting.
5) DE-10 BARREL: (Death Watch Bunker, Yavin). Necessary for crafting the DE-10 pistol. Very interesting. (Don't be obsessed by the "yellow" barrels... as stats are hidden I have built DE10s with a "white" barrel much better than others crafted with "yellow" ones)
D) STOCKS (most carbines, rifles and special heavy weapons can be upgraded with those. Most WS -as me- ALWAYS upgrade their weapons with them)
Advanced Weapon Stock (WS crafted): 40-40 dmg, +0.295 speed, HAM 26/25/26 (these stats may vary a bit because stock experimentation is borked) No stocks from loot so far, just the following:
1) FORMFITTED WEAPON STOCK: (Imperial Theme Park, and very rare!) Great enhancer. Their stats are 25-30 damage, -0.5 speed (yes... this component lower the weapon final speed instead of increasing it!) wound 10 and ideal range 15. No HAM consumption! The bad part is that this component is very very rare. This is specially useful for crafting flamethrowers and decreasing their speed and it's great also for "light" T21 rifles that can be fired unbuffed with not so severes HAM penalties. Very high interest.
E) SCOPES (most firearms can be upgraded with those. Most WS -as me- ALWAYS upgrade their weapons with them)
A weaponsmith can craft a scope of a lot of ways, for increasing wounds, range, etc. Me, personally, craft 2 types (in some different looks also)
Normal scope (WS crafted): range 18, HAM 0/0/0 (I use these normal scopes for a light range enhance for pistols and some carbines)
Advanced Scope (WS crafted): range 41, HAM 13/13/13 (extra range for "serious" weapons as carbines and rifles)
No scopes from loot so far, just the following:
1) PRECISION TUNED WEAPON SCOPE: (Imperial Theme Park, they are given most times). +20 or +25 range, HAM 20/20/25. Always inferior than the scopes a master WS can craft, these scopes simply sucks.I think this is a hidden imperial strategy for implementing these scopes to rebel troops.No interest at all.
Munitions:

Decent bonuses but munitions have limited charges and are not widely used other than for grinding

Insignificant bonuses to bother using on a limited use weapon

Very nice post, seeing as I've never been a weapon smith so I don't know my arse from my elbow when it comes to weapon compnents I may loot.
