Hullo all,

I have an extra alt I dont know what to make. Im looking to make him a big money maker. He is on a small sever called Shadowfire so any thing will due. Before I had him asbefore the CUMaster Chef but didnt get really enough into it to sell good enough, all I would sell to is my guild. I have heard that Rescourse Sellers make lots of money. What about smugglers and selling fp and since slicing is the new thing for smugglers. I would be willing to do crafting and harvesting but I dont have much to start me off with. Or should I just stick with PVE and get loots since he is already Master Swordsman and Master doc with some tk.

Well thanks for the advice and comments.

Just about anything can be a big money maker even Novice Entertainer. The "secret" is working at it. As you said about your Master Chef - didnt get really enough into it - is why Master Chef failed to generate the credits you wanted. There is no magic combination that gives the most credits for the least work. No matter what you do, the harder you work at it the more you will make.

If you really want to make money then stay away from the crafting proffs, get a CL-80 toon and hunt high end loot. Or go into space space missions pay much better than ground missions and you can loot alot of what you need for your ship too.

If you haven't with you first character why don't you use the ALT to Master all professions. I have just started a character in Europe Infinity because grinding FS to get Jedi is lame with my main character on Eclipse, but what I tend of doing is Mastering all professions with that character. Will be a heck of a grind but would be great fun working on all those professions.

rofl yah, my chef makes about 6 mil for a factory run of food and once i get my master BE i wont have to buy tissues for additives so i will be making 5+ mil a factory run. oh, and i stock about 15 different foods on massive restocks, do the math. 5 x 15 = ?mil. seriously though, crafters will always make more money than loot wh0res if they are dedicated at what they do

Not sure how much $ these people make, but I see plenty of AFK Auto-buff Doctors, and of course, Entertainers. The trick seems to bea good macro, max skills, and keep them at high-traffic areas (on Radiant most of them are at the MO on Dant, and some at starports), then you do not even have to sit at your CPU. I use their services if there is not a live player on, and generally tip 500-1000 credits (is it wrong for me to use these services?).

6 mil for a factory run? 150k per crate for food? Since the chef revamp I have not seen any food priced that high (and btw how much did it cost you in time and creds for the resources?)

Take alook at the trade forums, nearly all the high ticket items are loots (or needed loots to make). All I know is that ,aside from a fewpower-crafters, the people that throw around millions of credits at a time are all combat proffs. And as you say "dedicated to what they do" crafters will make alot of credits, but in the 'game time per credit equation' I really believe that looters win out.

oops, i meant i make about 5 mil for a factory run now, that is with all expenses like additives and resources and such. once my main gets jedi in about a week, i will make my unlock a BE and then my cost to produce foods will be very low. we are on different servers so you cant say that 150k per crate of food is expensive because all server's economies are different and prices will differ from one server to another. chef really isnt that hard. right now it costs me 1+ mil in credits for a factory run because of the BE additives i have to buy.

time is not a factor because i just throw things in factories and then log on my loot wh0re and get get loot again, we play on different servers and the number of hardcore crafters on mine will differ from yours. there are tons of weapons and kashyyyk loot on my trade forums right now. what does a crafter have to do with a super T21? the crafters wont bid on this, the combat people will.

you better believe that if that crafter wanted that T21 they would sure as hell outbid that combat person because they have the creds. looting high end items is not as good as it was pre-CU. as i said earlier, alot of things on my trade forums come from kashyyyk. are those items hard to come by? not really. do a quest or two adn you have the best carbine in the game in your inventory. actually looting something and not doing some half-assed quest for it are two different things.

i spent hours and hours and killed hundreds of nightsisters and have little to show for it, save the odd crystal or lance. in that same time, Joe Armorsmith made 100 mil making armor and selling it. sure, i could get lucky and loot an exceptional T21, but what are the chances of that? that is the "game time per credit equation". in that time i was killing nightsisters, i made, oh, 5 million creds from the crystals and lances i loot. Joe Armorsmith made 100 million from armor sales. looting is a game of luck. sometimes you will hit it big, sometimes you wont.

the population will always want the best armor and the best food and the best weapons because they want that edge in PvP or whatever. i ask that you look at this thread and see who the richest folks are, the crafters or the combat people
