I'm a weaponsmith, and I know for a fact that a lot of weapons come out with a base damage of 700 or 800+, same materials, resources, etc. People are trying to sell these weapons in spurts on vendors and auctions listing them as uber !! UNSLICED AT THAT !!! I've made over 50mil being fair with prices, image the people who get away with this and have over 100 or 200 mill sitting in the bank while you struggle to loot and run missons while they continue to jack up prices. I've also seen base armor selling for 4mill a suit. Just beware of this, the CU already has people upset. Don't let greedy people ruin it either.

Good point. I would also like to point out that armor is pretty useless, so don't even worry about buying it period.

Who is really to fault? The smith that puts an item up for sale or auction or the person that buys said item for 4 million? If a buyer thinks it is an outrageous price then they just shouldn't pay it, if they are paying it then I'm thinking it probably isn't outrageous after all.

How is it lame and how is it cheating? If I put something up for sale on my vendor for 1 million credits, you come by and see it there, look at the stats etc and then purchase that item you were not cheated. You bought it for what must have been a reasonable price for you at the time. No one forced you to buy anything. People like you are always trying to fault merchants for high prices of things when in the end it is the BUYERS that set prices for items and just like in real life the price of something will be what people are willing to pay for it.

Who's selling base armor for 4 million credits? And a better question yet, who's dumb enough to pay 4 million for it? Someone with 4 million creditshas probably been around the game long enough to know to shop around.

If you don't like the price...don't buy it. If you buy it, the price must of been okay. If you find the same item somewhere else for less, then you learned a valuable lesson...shop around first.

Please, if you were overpaying in the past, it was due to laziness or being wealthy enough to not care. If you're still overpaying after the global vendor search deal, you're just SUPER lazy (or, again, wealthy enough to not care).

I won't go into how many hundred million the CU cost me. There was nothing I could do to change it. I'm sorry if I don't have much sympathy for a person that goes out and does it to themself, in such a minimal way, of their own free will.

I agree, my main character doesnt have any armor, have full set of adv ubese but i cant wear it anymore. So i just dont use armor, in groups i seem to still be one of the more powerful ones and i still do not die that fast even without a healer!

The people allowing these greedy folks to get away with it are the ones that have the money and pay the outrageous prices. Though those rich people probably will pay alot no matter what you say, screwing it up for the lower classmen.

Couple things you should know.

Most MWS players have lost tens to hundreds of millions of credits on their resources due to the unannounced and untested experimentation calculation change that was snuck in without notice and was done according to Blixtev's post in the armorsmith forum specifically to punish long term crafters.

Furthermore, nearly 70% of all crafters have cancelled. That means that supply is critically short.

That means that not only do MWS players who have continued to play need to recover from drastic and punitive losses, but the market has set the price (due to the extremely low supply) very high.

As for armorsmiths - don't be so lippy until you read how they were shafted vigorously with huge and penalizing resource requirement changes including vast increases in organics. It's on the order of 2 to 3 TIMES as expensive as before to just make one item andthe time required in factory has jumped over 200%.

I myself have set a base price of 750K per gun and 1.5 million per "iconic" weapon - unsliced and base because I despise themajority of the non-guild players who have remained in the game. All my friends are gone so to hell with the rest of the population. I'm putting all my left over guns on a vendor this weekend befoe my account goes poof.

Since SOE isn't going to reimburse me for approximately 210 million in ruined resources - then their fanbois can pay me. If they don't - I really don't care.

Huh?

What post is that you're refering to from Blixtev? I'm doubtful that any SOE dev would be dumb enough to say that they changed something to "punish" anyone.

And are you talking about Weaponsmith or Armorsmith?
