Thread: How do we get money now?

Hi!
I have now managed to use up my saved money on SWG.
And its at this point I realized that when devs nerfed solo hunting, I am screwd. The best missions are rancors (37-38k). You need a group to about 10 ppl, so 38000:10 is 3800. THAT IS TERRIBLE! A buff alone cost 15k and more. So I have to do about 5-6 mission to even be able to pay for my buff, not to mention actualy MAKING some money. I am not a doc, neither a crafter of any sort. So my main income was missions in solo groups. Now that this have been nerfed, and I have used up all the money, I am in big trouble.
I know many of you are going to say now. "You can always say good loot!" Well, sure. But the thing is to actualy get the loot it self. So I would not want that as my main income source. Then we have avian meat ofcourse, and other resourses I can sell, but I am an FS, so SP go to that, pluss I need an elite proffesion to do things, so simply dont have SP to get artisan to go and survey.
I belive I am not the only one that dont have spare SP, and dont have the inventory stuffed with uber loots, or other.
So how do you guys get money?

Solo group nerf is not as big of a problem as everyone thinks. You can still get 20k for missions, ungrouped, on Endor. People are just to lazy to travel to any other planet other than Dant to grind and Dath to convert XP.

Do it like we used to before sologroups were al lthe rage. Look for missions that pay well solo. Or get a pet. The money is out there, You just have to LOOK.

i agree- hell, i can pull 17k pirate missions on Lok and they only have 3 guys, i whiz through these in (literally) minutes.

Mind giving us advice on particularly how? 
Or do you really just pull them with a master elite weapon equipped?

I think Solo grouping was bad for the game, Dev's never really intended for you to be able to do that. Taking them out was nothing more than fixing a broken part of the game. Not "really" an exploit but in a way it was. I just hate when some thing gets fixed to work the way it was ment to, and ppl scream NERF........I can't wait to here all the screams after the CURB
I never once Solo grouped, left the game before the fix gave all my cr away. I came back last month and i have plenty of cash 15milish. So it's not really any harder making money now. I get 12k missions on yarvin i make around 200k a buff. So your not doing some thing right or your lazy, sorry don't mean to flame but "fixing the game is not A NERF!!!!!!"

Personally even though I was among the sologroups to work on funding for the guild, I am relieved they removed it. It was so unpleasent staying out in those groups killing jaantas endlessly ect, it burned out alot of the fun. And on top of that it was just lame. There are defintely ways to find good missions on other planets to solo.
However. I do feal the Devs should keep sharp skills on creating brilliant, fun, and various new ways to pull in funds from players. It shouldnt be left to hunters, artisans, and mercenaries alone... They should make more of a variety of credit-bringer in tasks, or even missions to work on. Now I can't think of any off the top of my head, but there's gotta be more to bringing in credits than the old jaanta solo-groups and now back to soloing hunting accross the galaxy.. I mean.. There's gotta.. right?

My Master CH never has any difficulty pulling 12k or higher missions even on Corellia. Just group with a couple of level 35 pets + a droid.
My non-CH characters group with a droid to get higher paying missions andnormally get missions that I can do UNBUFFED (except for a little brandy sometimes) and pull plenty of credits.
If anything, I do better taking missions by myself with no other characters in the group than I would if I did group.
For example:
- Sharnaff Missions seem to top out at 13k+ if I have other characters (and their droids/pets) grouped with me.
- My Master CH can get Sharnaff Missions for around 12k+ with only my pets/droids.
- Faction Missions seem to top out around 7k if I am grouped with other characters (and their pets/droids)
- My Master CH can get Faction Missions that pay out 6.8k to 6.9k+ with only my pets/droids
Um... where is there any incentive to group? Not only do the missions pay better if you only have your pets/droids grouped with you, but then there is the group creature harvesting nerf (I can harvest 3x as much resoiurces from each creature if I am not grouped than I can if I am grouped). Plus, I save a heck of a lot on not having to get any buffs (except maybe a little brandy)and with buffs going for 15k for a full set from a doctor, that is a nice savings indeed.

Im a TKM/Master Doc but I cant find those 20k missions on endor or high-paying missions anywhere else for that matter. Am i missing something?

Master doc - buy buffs from a crafter (often easier than crafting your own) and sell them with a 50-100% markup. I used to buy buff sets of 6x30 for 250k, and sell them for 15k each; 15x30 = 450k, so 200k profit for a couple of hours work.
TKM - much like other melee profs. Head to endor and pick up the missions there, even cowardly gurrecks paying 5-6k are a good way to make cash. Low level missions repeated can pay good cash. Endor will generate higher cash payouts, but you might have to refresh a bit. I believe Lantern birds are also a good choice
The solo'ers best friend can be a decent BE pet. I have a CL10 sludge panther, with 60% kinetic resists and 6k HAM. Good for tanking and for grouping wth for higher mission payouts and XP

Totally agree with you. Does alevel 125at st faction droid which requires no skills to use just high rank imp who grinded some fp count as a pet. If you're realy stuck for making money go overt group with your at st and you can do janta missions the old way if you realy need it that much. Mind though i have heard some call it exploiting
