Thread: PvP Template, focused on the Mind Pool

Ok, it seems to me that "currently" the mind pool is the most vulnerable pool out there. It cant be healed (but can be buffed by many means, dancer/muscian/spice/food/drink/meditate)


So, I figure a template that allows you to devastate your opponents mind would have some merit. However, I am asking for your experience as I have only ever used Pike and Fencer as my main damage professions.


My current build has Novice Medic, Master Brawler, Master Pikeman, 2/2/0/4 TKA, 0/4/0/0 Fencer and 0/1/4/3 in Sword. As you can see I am already moving toward mastering Swordsman. It used to be 2/3/0/4 TKA, 4/4/0/0 Fencer, 0/0/4/0 Sword and Master of Pike and Brawler.


I want to keep master Pike and Sword so I can do the following:

1) Use my Vibro Lance POISON Mind DOT

2) Use my Reinforced Staff FIRE Mind DOT

3) Use my Gamorrean Battle Axe DISEASE Mind DOT

4) Use a scythe/Power Hammer for a BLEED Mind DOT

5) SPAM Head Hit3


Thats four DOTS on the mind. Granted that is also four changes of weapons and I am fearful i will spend 5 minutes just changing weapons. Any thoughts?


Is that a good plan?

that is probably the best way to kill people if you want to be leet


i would suggest capping on sword speed and racking up on defenses to be the best in PvP - w/o dots that is

if you want to use mind attacks, keep pikeman for laying your dots, but get rifleman. not swordsmen, rifleman has alot more damage types to dish out, they still have a bleed attack. its ranged, and T21 has heavy ap.

actually a stacker would destroy that template and kill you and then spend the next hour in the hospital. If your goal is to cause that kind of grief then that is a good template. Those dots are really not needed to win in pvp.

A CM/Rifleman or CM/Carbineer would destroy your template. I suggest M Swords/Pike 4004/4030 Doc and pick up speed/accuracy for pike and swords.

That template sux. No defense and the constant changing of weapons means you will spend most of your time doing nothing.

since they put weapon transfer on combat que its an appauling idea no offense, just defense stack and have one proffession u fight with.....work at getting uber weapons for that proffession.......just use the others for defense


My PvP template used to be Master Brawler, Master Fencer, Master Swordsman, Medic 3,3,4,0


Had v.good acklay gaffi and stun baton..................


would beat that template of yours anyway

on a deployment taking on the terrorist threat in the middle east so you wont have to. This way you can sit in your chair and practice the 1st Ammendment and degrade me.

A good standing PVP stacker profession at the moment would be Teras Kasi Master/Master Fencer/Pistoleer 4-0-4-0.


Dodge, Defense VS. KD, Dizzy, Stun, Posture Change. Stun Batons for serious damage (Some have D.O.T's too) and TKM for mind hit (In case they're wearing Stun Composite Helmets)


Of course all that will change after the balance I'm sure.
