Thread: Should I be able to kill a red?
What the real question should be is:
Shouldn't we be able to take out reds at expert unarmed?
I'm going up unarmed tree at the same time as rifle. Armed with a rifle I could easily solo reds at expert rifle. With vibro-knucklers at expert-unarmed I'm able to do whites only.
Not really - 'Red' isn't a 'Level', it's a comparison of you to the mob. That means that as you get tougher by going up the skill tree, mobs that were 'Red'to you at advanced levelcould become 'White' to you at master level. Also, 'Red' could mean anything from 'it's justbarely tough enough tobe considered Red' to 'it's so tough that you and20 of your friends probably can't killit'. For example, to a Novice Brawler, Sevorts are red... but so are Dark Jedi Masters. The Dark Jedi is clearly tougher than the Sevort though.
'Red' is supposed to mean that if you attack it, you're very probably going to die.
'White' is supposed to mean that if you attack it you have a 50% chance of dieing.
If it's not working that way (it reallyisn't) then they need to adjust things.

PS - FWIW Before Making TK Iwas only able tosolo one Red - a Langlatch Marauder on Lok. I had to beat it up, run away to heal and then finish it off (good thing they're so sloooow). Even then it's three Yellow buddiesincapped me shortly thereafter. I haven't tried to solo one since making TK.
