After obtaining TKA Novice a couple of days ago and slowly learning how to actually play the class, numerous issues I had with the class in Master Brawler state has disappeared.

The issue-list made by Spaz still contains the gist of what is left and its a good basis for dialogue with the developers.

One thing I feel is missing or not underlined enough is the range issue, seen from a bit of a different perspective:

When you combat very large mobs, on the ground (Fambaa) or in the air (Giant Peko's) you are having one helluva a time hitting them, because they constantly reposition themselves.

Its reminiscing of EverQuest where you had to be in the "middle of a mob" to hit it. The same thing goes on here. You need to be VERY close or even ON TOP of very large mobs to be able to do Melee damage to them.

If you're just a couple of yards away, you'll get the "Your target is out of range" message and you have to move in closer. But here's the kicker:

The mob moves back. Thats right. Once you move closer and are able to hit the mob - it moves back - basically repositioning itself JUST outside your attack range. This is only very evident in very large mobs or sometimes medium sized flying ones.

It effectively downgrades your damage output dramatically as you scramble to move closer (and while you move = no damage). Once you are within range again, the freaking mob MOVES OUTSIDE your raneg automatically. Happens every time.

You could argue that you should just reposition yourself accordingly, but that doesn't remedy the problem. I have nothing against having an active engagement with an enemy where I need to reposition myself to gain an advantage, but this seems more like a design flaw, than a AI feature if you know what I mean

The spined snakes on Lok are a perfect example of this and they're not very large. If you try to use /follow on them, the constant movement will keep you (but not them) from making any attacks.

Yeah, I was having this problem on Talus (I think it was a bull torton). Very frustrating to not only be kited by npcs with guns but also the blasted melee critters as well.
