Thread: I have the answer to Melee vs. Ranged.
This is kinda silly but I think It would be an interesting way to even things out.
What if some one running and shooting had a random 'trip' inherent in their running while not looking where they are going, and running backwards.
This could not be the ONLY solution becouse it would turn marksman into people who where dependent on luck to win. But just rarely it would be nice.
They are running and shooting and then they are on your back and are standing over them......good for us pikeman becouse we can't hit after we have knocked them down anyway, becouse we are so slow, wich makes lunge damm near usless.
Interesting idea. But we'd also need to have a slightly smaller chance of a brawler tripping while chasing someone and being shot at, since you're trying to run while dodging shots and attemping to tackle someone.
And then of course it might happen during PvE, which means when you stumble across that Narglatch lair and burst run away, yo ujust might find yourself on the ground and under the teeth.

Not wanting to attack while you run would just have to pe something you concider before going overt.
Oh, and if ANYONE burst runs into a wall, they should get Incapped or knocked down or sumthing.
