Lunge2 does little damage of course, its intention is to stop runners, but it doesn't last 30 seconds, they'll be up and running in about 5-10 seconds, which means 20-25 seconds to make a getaway. Since Lunge2 damage is like 1-5 pts, you're essentially just wasting ham using it at this point, unless the fleeing foe just needs one more hit to die its purpose as stopping kiters is going to be reduced even more.

I hearya, Lunge 2 is definatly going to be next to useless in PVP and Red/yellow con enemies. The best we can hope for is that our opponents dies before it gets up :/

R they really gonna set a timer on knockdown? That'll be so f sad, im dropping my polearm skills if so. If we cant knockdown a taget at least twice in pvp, we're doomed. Ranged characters just gonna run around the garden and kite us to death, not to mention how we cant really hit while on the run.

Perhaps the timer on Lunge2 should be decreased, perhaps to around 20seconds instead of 30? giving extra incentive for people to become master brawlers, and it would hsow a better improvement from lunge1 to lunge2.

My question is: How is this knockdown nerf going to work? I agree that it should be done but. If you use a lunge/knockdown you will not be able to use another lunge/knockdown for 30 secs. Or will it be so once you use say unarmedlunge2 you cannot use it again for 30 seconds but you could use a knockdown?

That is pretty much my only query with the knockdown nerf.

My impression from reading the detailed notes was that once a target is knocked down or had a posture change, no one can successfully perform those moves on that target for 30 seconds. All attempts until the timer is up fail as if it was resisted. (Damage might still be done for those attacks that have it.)

The attacker can knock down someone else during that time, however.
