this question has been asked very often and I read a lot of those threads...Unfortunately Im a Brawler after a major patch, so I have no Vibro Knucklers...with unarmed 4 I really have trouble...In groups its not funny to be Brawler and Solo Im too weak, even if I a whole set of Chitin...

What is the best way to get that unarmed 4?! I wanta be a smuggler anyway after this torture :-)

Get a pair of fast vibro knuckles and use thoes to level up. If you have any bleed attatacks from other professions open with one then switch to unarmed. You can also take up novice medic and buy the stuff needed to make Stim A from the bazaar.

Destroy Missions, Destroy Missions, keep repeating. They'll give you credits aswell as exp. I'd suggest doing destroy missions outside Coronet City on Corillia.

The fact that even without certification we do more damage with knucklers than without should make the dev guys up there think at the pathetic situations they placed brawling in tho, sorry :/

dont know if yu think of this as exploit or tactics but... if your going smuggler anyway do pistolfirst... when you get master pistol switch to unarmed. at master pistol you get a dot (dammage over time) that tgts the health bar. if you pout the dot down then enter melee with your unarmed all the xp will go to your unarmed skill. this allows you to effectively pl yourself over the hump as it were. you MUST hit the mob though with unarmed dureing the fight. if you dont you get no xp so dot and run isnt really the option of choice here. hope this helps you.

Yeah, ever since that patch that requires novice TKA to use VK's, it's been near impossible to get any unarmed xp, but here's a few tips I used to get it...

1) As mentioned before, there's a trick (dunno if it's been fixed or not) that if you bleed shot a target then immediately switch to unarmed and land just one punch with it, when it dies, it'll be as if you beat the thing to death 100% unarmed.

2) (this requires some real nice armor or medic abilities) Go get some horrible Swoop faction standing and then go to the Ragtag Lunatic spawn point (by the Commando trainer in Kor Vella, -3330 x 3330ish). These guys aren't worth much xp, but they'll KoS (kill on sight) if your faction is low enough. If your armor's good enough, you could technically just leave your game running and go do something else for a little while. However people might look down on it, since it's on a similar level to macroing, but they also don't understand the pain of unarmed. Watch out though, lots of people know this and tend to use this place to build up gun xp, so they'll beat you to the punch.

Guess if you get really desperate, you could just go do faction destroy missions unarmed, and then turn in your faction points for a measely 10-20 unarmed xp per mission.

And remember - berserk is your friend.

I wanted to try that Kor Vella thing with the Ragtag Lunaticsbut everytime I go there there's always someone there. Even worse people who are there tell me to get lost cause they think they own the place. Am I being disrespectful for wanting to try this or are some people getting carried away with this? Plz post your thoughts and opinions because some of these people keep sending me threats and won't leave me alone...

if someone is camping a static spawn spot and the person it is NOT afk, then indeed it is polite to go somewhere else

On the topic of armor...

All armor cuts your substats down. Get Ubese or higher and you'll see your Quickness, Stamina, etc. in the double digits. The lower those stats are, the slower you regenerate and the more HAM it costs to do the special moves. You need to balance that with the actual protection you get from armor. It's a good idea to get good kinetic protection since that's generally what we're going against. You can mix and match, but it isn't pretty.

I'm using some bone and some Mabari right now. That's on my budding Pikeman, though. Since I attack slower and do good damage per regular hit, I have decent kinetic defense and just attack. My specials cost me about 77 per right now so it's liveable when I use them.

With a Teras Kasi character I have, I had Composite pieces (Helm, bracers, gloves and boots) so I didn't regen worth a crap and specials cost about 50-100 more points than without armor. I didn't notice much difference in damage taken, either.

Try the Corellian Swamps for XP. Solo is a bit dangerous and you may get incapped a few times if you get too close to the gangs...good XP though, may wanna take a friend or two who are also looking for unarmed and try to clean house. Lots of thugs and smugglers and stuff out there, also a Drall Cave when I was there.

Ok, I just finished unarmed 4 after the patch so I know what you're going through. That 70,000 mark seems a long way away. You have to combo with a firearm. Use pistol or whatever, pick a target, blast it at least three times to get it's health down, and then switch and melee when it comes to you. Sometimes you'll miss and you're in for a fight. Anything that doesn't go to half in one punch or kick, hit bezerk like crazy. It's the only thing that will save you. Otherwise the critter will outlast you.

On critters, kill tons of the small guys. Kill gorgs, womp rats, nunas, bobcats, domesticated eopies, settlers, evil settlers, cannibals, thugs, etc or similar on your planet.Avoid tougher buggers like swoopsor bigcritters. You can kill them, but they slow you down. Do missions too. Choose the easiest critters, get ten from a lair, kill em all and get paid for it too.Do Sherman's march there and back on anything in sight. The amount of pts you make in the same time it takes to barely survive and reheal still generally outpace bigger kills. Little guys are two potshots and kick or punch. Bam it's dead, and you get 50-90 pts of unarmed. Add it up. 10 kills in 2 minutes. 500- 90 pts every two minutes. It starts to accumulate. A big kill may just kill you instead or take a good 5 - 10 minutes to get back to full HAM without stims or medic skills.

As for spawn locations. I used to be courteous and never got anything. Now I'm just a **edit**. If someone is shooting something big, I'll unload on it too and get pts. It's fair game.
