... with my pistol. I tried the next mission unarmed against one white and two dark blues and naturally got incapped. Unarmed brawler is SO gimped.

Heh, at expert unarmed level, I had an epic struggle with three giant gubbers (white con) last night. They attacked me while I was surveying and unprepared. I had to pull out all the stops, blind, stun, intimadate, trandoshan regenerate, and healing myself with sim a's, but I did finally beat them.

Course, I could have just pulled out my new high end DH17 snubnose carbien and whooped them, but that's not the point.

Soloing three white cons is easy. I did it plenty of times against Zucca boards while trying to get expert unarmed. All you need are a few good stimpacks.

Any marksman class is SO easy to play.

i solo white cons all the time with ease ... sometimes yellow, though they can be a pain sometimes... trick is to see how many HPs your opponent has .. pass the mouse pointer over the targets HAM bars to see how many HP AP and MP the target has .. then determine if you can handle them .. also the speed increase from using VKs helps alot!! just go beserk and youd be amazed how many hits you get off

One white con isn't a problem or even two. I would like the game a bit better if unarmed brawler was more than just a path to TKA or a hybrid profession. I would actually like to be able to group and still earn decent Xp. I solo almost all the time because that's the best way to get unarmed Xp and with 128,000 points to go, killing low level mobsis getting real tired.

Mostly I'm just venting. I prefer melee combat and am willing to accept the trade offs of taking more damage and not having any ranged attacks. As things now stand unarmed isn't near a balanced skill tree.

I solo reds as a swordsman. So,I agree, Unarmed is crap currently.

i solo reds also and i've only completed the first three boxes for one-handed sword

i am currently working on umarmed so i can become a commando (no flames i have been planning on doing this since way before the announcements of the new commnado fixes, seriously) one way i havebeen using to get exp faster is finding yellow cons and health shottting them with my pistol i have gone up to about half of the third box this way fairly quickly also if i find a red con spider i usually fight them too but only if they are by themselves because it nearly kills me

Ummm...I solo'd nym brawlers and such with novice swordsman and Expert 1-handed sword (for the dizzy) without stims or anything. Anything less than 5K HAM and is humanoid(single) is fair game for my swordsman and most non-humanoid is fine too.

That being said, god how I am hatinggetting unarmed up to a level where I can become masterbrawler. Current tactic is to find RSF officers, dizzy/lunge 1-handed them and berserk/equip VKs and hope I kill them before they stand back up.Its so-so working thus far.

Spaz is currently 8/29 compiling an updated issues list. I'm hoping enough people having difficulty with unarmed brawlers low damage make their voice heard. The devs have responded quickly to critical play issues ( witness the T-21 nerf and its subsequent un-nerf ) so if this is bought to their attention with enough player support they may act. Or not. /shrug

You folks stating the ease of soloing three white cons and yellows. What species are you please? If you guys are Wookies or T'doshes please stop volunteering your 'experiences' because you guys DO have it easier than everyone else in unarmed brawler.
