Thread: What do these skills mean?!
There are tons of skills that I have that I have no clue what they really do. Here they are.
- 2 Handed Melee Toughness. I know that it soaks damage, but what does that number translate into? Is it a percentage like armor?
- Warcry. It does what?
- Intimidate. I hear it lowers the damage done to you by the enemy. Whats the difference between the two?
- Melee Defense and Ranged Defense. How does this work mechanically? Is it a percentage? Does it deduct from the other guy hitting you? Please explain, this is one of my burning questions here.
- Berserk. Sounds neat, what does it really do?
- Defense vs Whatever. Is this number a percentage or does it subtract from the other guys ability to effect you with the ability?
- Which profession has the best knock down? Is there a percent attached to it?
- Which profession causes the most damage?
- Which is the fastest and does it really matter?
- What actually dictates that a maneuver will effect the opponent? Your skill? I hidden percentage? If so, do the Defense vs skills subtract from the percent directly?
I'm asking these questions because I really want to choose a melee profession to master, I'm not sure which though.
Thanks
I can't answer all of these, but I'll tell you what I do know.
1- don't know
2- slows the enemy temporarily. So they attack less often. Not always successful.
3- Causes the damage dealt by the enemy to be less than when not intimidated. but otherwse still attacks normally
4- this is like an armor class. The higher your defense the less likely you are to be hit by the enemy
5- for a limited time you hit more often and for much higher damage. However you also get hit more often, and you cannot execute any other special moves during the berserk time. Also, not always successful.
6- not sure what you are asking, but I think this is the same as #4
7- Don't know
8- Don't know
9- don't know, but faster is always better, The more often you hit, the faster your enemy goes down.
10- I don't know exactly what algorithm they use for determining the effects of combat. I assume there is a random number generator applied to some formula based upon attack and defense stats of you and your enemy. Personally I choose not to worry about it, that's what the computer is for.
I know this isn't as thorough as you would like, but it is all I know at the moment.
Definately better than nothing. Thanks.
If anyone else can fill in the blanks, thanks.
