Brawler Archive
Thread: Suppose to be this Easy?
Hi all. I just started playing the game. And, as I usually do, I took a different route from the genre (melee in a ranged weapon world). I played a martial artist in AO and enjoyed it so I thought I'd try a brawler out. Mostly I just wanted to max out 1 handed melee and see how I felt about things.
In solo PVE with only 2 levels of 1 handed, I feel extremely powerful. With a cheap sword I bought from the bazarr, I'm doing 600+ damage with first earned 1 hander special and it uses very little action when I'm not using the special I'm averaging 120-200 hits. I'm taking down whites in 2 hits or so and yellows in 5 hits or so. Missions are too easy. My goal was to max out 1 handed melee, max out rifle then concentrate on some medic lines and maybe some dancer and chef.
But hell, with no armor and some cheap sword, I'm wiping the floor with things above my level with little downtime. Does this change? Do encounters get more challenging?

AHAAH u say "And, as I usually do, I took a different route from the genre (melee in a ranged weapon world)."
Think about it...first im pure melee and i can take out a ranged person any day...and 2nd what does jawa palaces guards hold...ooo wut i thought vibro axes...wut about The hutts place in tat...oo the pigs hold huge axes...hmm oo yes i forgot one...jedi of all sort that can kill u one hit..hmm
lol not tryin to be all mean or anything but melee in a ranged world is kinda wrong way to put it...maybe melee wen everyone else is ranged..well man im not even novice marksman ![]()
I'm only a Teras Kasi Student at the omment, but if you do the right stuff you can hold your own on a tougher mob. Last night I took out a Greater Shauput and about 5 Shauputs at once. After I recovered a bit I took out a couple of Borvo's Thugs 1 v 1 also. I think sometimes it has just as much to do with tactics as it does weaponry/stats. But by no means, don't run out and try to solo a Krayt or anything.

definetly with the tactics...they give u an area attack for a reason..o and also u pull out ur carbine cuz ur a imp
was that carbine reference to me? if so, not sure where you are getting that one from. I don't use the bleed and run crap like most do when working UA/TKA. I take pride in fighting UA and finish the job UA or get finished...I don't switch to a carbine and kite like a coward.
