Sorry to see another profession lose another correspondent.
Sony has REALLY blown it on this game. I seriously doubt it could have been done worse.

OK...why did someone one star my message? I really am truly sorry that yet another profession has lost their correspondent...it sucks for the profession when that happens, because SOE is slow in getting a new one, so they are essentially unrepresented until such a time that a new one comes along.
As for my saying SOE has blown it...can you honestly say they haven't? There's a reason why so many correspondents have quit...it's because they can't take it anymore. This is alpha code (beta code is far better), and Sony never should have released it. This is my *PROFESSIONAL* opinion, that I believe is backed up by industry guidelines.
1. The product has some cataclysmic software defects.
2. The product has a LOT of substiantial software defects.
3. The product has countless minor software defects.
4. The software has major segments that are still non-functional from a design perspective.
5. The software has many segments that have not been tested.
6. They have not finished defining the general outlay of the product.
Beta software has none of number 1, few of number 2, lots of number 3, some of number 4, lots of number 5, and none of number 6.
Alpha software has all of the characteristics described above.
This is alpha software.
