Went with a bunch of friends last night to Dath. I have been switching from Pistol to TKA, and was "grinding" UA IV level (still dreading the novice TKA). During our missions I would be the one to attack the lair. Once all monsters were dead, they waited on me to kill off the lair (although alot of times I said ok help cause doing 125 damage was takin forever). But for each lair that I "killed" (although it was really like 25-50% of the lair) I received anywhere from 2-4k xp! I thought the xp was capped at 2k, but I did recieve more than that many times last night. In about a 2-3 hour session, between killin critters and lairs I made about 50k of the 70k xp I needed for UA IV. And it was enjoyable and Profitable

It almost seems to good to be true .... but i think it will be kinda hard to find a group that will wait for u too do that ... what server and whats your chars name so i may be able to roll with u guys out there?

Hoo Boy. I remember my UA grind.

It took so long, as all I did was take missions, do them, come back, take more, do them (all out of Mos Eisley). And I got the entirety of my exp that way.

Granted that was back in the first week of the game, and I was one of the richest people from all those missions. When I hit UA IV though, it was brilliant. So rewarding. I'd walk into the cantina and pick a fight with some snotty marksman and just destroy him. Those were the days...now it's lost its luster...*sigh*

Have a great group/PA of friends Server is Lowca. Last night I spent grinding Med Xp so didn't have a chance to farther my UA skills But It definitely did work. I had thought xp capped at 2k, but was getting much more than that. They would let me swing as long as I wanted to at the Lair, but I would get bored after 5 min and tell them to finish it

I did this exact thing last night on Dathomir...Got the first three boxes and 5k into the big one, hoping to finish it off tonight.

It takes a CH with a pretty strong pet, we were using a graul, and doing the 25k Khamurith missions. They have no resists or armor so they are relatively easy to take out. 5k xp per mob and the last lair pop gets 2-3k =)

Works about the same on Yavin BTW. Finished off my UA IV box last night and 1/2 way to Novice TKA already (so about 60k xp last night on Yavin). And doesn't feel like a grind

To be honest all you're really doing is displacing your boring chore onto your friends

Instead of you spending 50 minutes being bored 5 of them are spending 10 minutes each being bored

Works out about the same and as long as they're cool with it that's ok

That's the point. I don't kill the whole lair. I smack at it for a few minutes (yes they stand around healing and what not, or taking other local spawns) then they all assist to kill it off. I might get more xp killing the whole lair myself, but to get anywhere from 2-4k for everyone standing around for a couple minutes isn't all that shabby.

i was wondering about how many people you had with you while you were doing this... i have 2 friends i could do it with but don't know if thats enough.

1 Good Friend with 1 Good Pet

I could do it with 1 friend (since I have the pets). But 2-3 were with me a couple times and it went faster that way.
