Thread: 43 skill points: I have enough for one novice elite brawler + 1 skill box... which to choose?

I have no combat abilities at all... and I'll drop something which will give me 43 skill points. Enough for Novice Brawler, 1 brawler branch, 1 novice box in thebrawler/melee elite professionsand 1 more skill box. Which should I choose?

- TKA seems cool with the cool moves and the meditate and all.
- Novice fencer is apparently strong, but I do not know much about it.
- Same goes swordsman, dunno much about it.
- Pikeman interests me but I hear it's the weakest of the 4.

Remember I will not master this elite, only novice + 1 skill box... so I need opinions on which is best at that level, not at master level.

Thanks!

Id say Pikeman...only if you want to be cool and look cool...But for game play TKA is the way to go as far as speed, deffense and DPS...

He can only do NOVICE box and one more..

Do this..

NOVICE SWORDSMAN.

Then get the combat xp box that gives you your first mind bleed.

There are really only 2 options here, at the novice level the only brawlers worth mentioning are TKA and Heavy Sword. Trust me on this one, I've been around the block, so to speak. For tka, you're basically rewarded for any of the tier 1 stats, but I recommend you either go for the defence (0001) or the offence (0010). For heavy sword, get the mind bleed, im not sure, but i think its 0100.

Sorry to my fellow fencers as we would love to have another member within our ranks, but I think that he'd prefer a novice brawling profession that actually gets him somewhere.

well sorry to say but he is wrong...

i have never met a novice +1 2ander that beat me when i was novice... i didnt use buffs i didnt use bleeds ( personally tink tey are one of the gayest dueling/ pvping methods out there) and wel they are too slow to realy be a force with tat little skill ... i would say tka then as a second option fencer... one hand it 2 witha ok gandy wil average at 1300 dmg if you can handle the am cost...

Wrong in your opinion sure.. But I say a 3k damage bleed with a powerhammer just as Novice +1 box(In the combat xp line for mindhit1) is pretty **edit** useful.. Both PVE and PVP, which is what he needs.

Novice TKA +1 Box really isn't that great.. Sure you could get KD, but KD is only so useful.. One Mindhit1 can kill most mobs no problem..and most players.

Novice Fencer + 1 box is the same.. No real devastation there..He's only getting ONE box, remember that.

Novice Pi- HAHAHA..er sorry.. I have 4 boxes of Pikeman now and it's sad =)

I dont have experience of other melee professions than TKA but I'd take something else than tka if you can only take 1 skill box from elite tree. You can do lot more damage at lower elite levels with 2h or 1h swords for example.
