I was reading the CH nerf list when i came across this quote from thunderheart. From the post the week is nearly up and i wondered if there had been any commenton this board about it. Been checking to see if i could find any but came up lacking any details.

If anyone knows what they have planned i'd love to know - being a TKE it would be nice to think i might actually be able to tank for a bit - instead of being killed 5:1 times more than everyone else due to the fact they can run/fight and wear armour that does not completely nerf their speacial attacks.

There is a new skill called Center of Being. What it does does is it allows you to use active defense more often during a given time period instead of relying on passive values. While you may have X rating in Y defensive skill. Just waiting for the dodge, parry, block etc... to go off in a fight isn't always enough.

So now, you could hit Center of Being, (a message says you concentrate on self preservation), and your defenses should have a higher chance of working for the duration. At novice brawler the duration is probably a second. Though in each tree you gain + bonuses to the effectiveness of Center for the specific fighting style your using. So Unarmed and Fencing Center effectiveness won't stack.

Last but not least. All combat professions are receiving greater defense bonuses. Melee are getting most of the love with this one.
