Thread: A good fix for brawlers
I am a brawler on the Naritus server and I've noticed that it's very hard to kill even one stormtrooper because all they do is run away and for some stupid reason all npc's have a higher run speed than any pc. So, I've been trying to think of some good ideas to fix the whole ranged vs melee issue. My first idea is to just give brawlers (and the elite classes) bonuses to movement speed. This could create an issue though with commandos having brawler skills as well as smugglers having the same tree. It might work if it started at master brawler (maybe a REAL incentive to get it?) and the elite classes (maybe in the same boxes with the ranged/melee defense bonuses?).
Another idea of mine was to give master brawlers the ability to sprint. Yes, I know there is a skill called burst run but sprint is a better version of burst run. With sprint, you hit the hotkey once to activate it and you begin burst running. Instead of draining a large amount of HAM to initiate it, sprint slowly drains HAMs as you continue to run (including your +'s to burst run efficiency). I'm not entirely sure how this would work (time limits, spending limits, etc...).

Bonuses to movement speed kind of counteract a scout/ranger's abilities in terrain negotiation.
I think it's been thrown around before to perhaps give penalties to movement speed while holding a gun.(So a melee would be able to catch up to a ranged)
The Devs are already working on fixing this by boosting melee range..
And use lunge1.. it's 15m..Stops them running
