Ok, I am working on a melee template that will let me go toe to toe with a Jedi (not a padawan either) and have at least a 50/50 chance of winning. First off, I should ask those of you who have some personal game experience with Jedi if this is even possible.

If it is, what do you think would be the best template.

I do understand that TKMs actually hunted and killed wayward jedis but I dont think that this game will represent that, based on what I have read so far.

Anyway, please post your ideas. Based on all the holocron grinders out there I expect the galaxy to be overflowing with Jedi.

I hunt nightsisters who are alot more powerfull than any player jedi. hunting and killing these **edit** requires full, high resist, composite armor, full buffs and commando. I chose to get tkm, but it is probable possible with a different profession. The key to killing them is a strong dot (damage over time). For me its setting them on fire. However it is *EXTREMELT DANGEROUS to hunt nightsisters. I have been hit by 3 consecutive over 3000 dmg force attack in 1 instance. If you are not extremely cautious these npc's will hand your ass to you.

note: the time I was hit by 3 consecutive 3000+ dmg, I was incapped on the third hit with over 700 health wound, 300 action, 500 mind and at least 200 to all secondaries. it took me over 10 minutes of meditation to heal it all, alot more.

maybe if you did master brawler/ Teras Kasi Master w/ fenceer and pistoleer dodge's you could last for a little while. I've read posts on how pre-padawan jedi decimated Teras Kasi Masters.

OK, here is how I have done in the same situations- PC Jedi are very weak. I just did UA KD 1 and warcry (both stuck 2nd time) and then UH2 til he died. I was only 2-1-2-2 in TKA at the time- 1 week ago.

He also hit me a few times b4 i took him down and it was rather sad. Now as for Nightsisters- they got a huge boost last patch. But are still soloable. T 2-1-3-3 i took down a rancor tamer and here 3 rancors (solo), as well as a few rangers (1 at a time- **edit** they are strong now) and even an SMC arch-witch.

They are still doable but you gotta be lucky and ya gotta know what you are doing.

Yes rhaine, he hit you only a few times and you lived. Weakest jedi lightsabers do about 900-1000 damage. I'm sure he was the best LD kill you've ever had. Get a clue.

- As I see it, Sony has until July 31st 2004 to pull content, balance and most importantly "fun" out of a hat and into the game for me. I guess I can list "buying a non-refundable year's subscription" down as one of the dumbest decisions made in my life. Congradulations SoE, you took 200 bucks from me. -

As a jedi apprentice I know for a fact that all you need to kill a jedi is master brawler, tkm is a instant kill for jedi.. even without knockdown a TKM has a 50/50 chance of killing a jedi. (Assuming both where's high end kinetic armro.

As a BH/smuggler I slaughtered a player jedi who challenged me to a duel.

He didn't land a hit on me.

The max damage is 1000ish on crystal sabers, which most people use as they dont have the 15 million credits to spend on a saber that decays within about 8 hours of grinding...

When I was a low level Jedi (3-0-0-0) I dueled a Novice (that's it, just novice) Fencer and got owned...

With the PvP Damage reduction and decent armor, the saber doesn't do much damage compared to a stun baton that does a type of damage that armor cannot block...
