Efficiency: Marksman

Thats just my experience.

They both have uses. I like marksman when I am fighting stuff that kites and I like brawler when I am fighting stuff that walks up and fights head to head.

If you are comparing master brawler vs master marksman I'd say brawler is better right now. They both suck without an elite weapon skill though.

if you like fighting with fists, swords and big sticks, brawler is the way to go.

if you like shooting stuff, marksman is the way to go.

try 'em both then make a decision on what you want to pursue if you're looking to enjoy the toon.

I've doneboth and I'm Master Brawler/TKA right now. I like Brawler because I can stand in the fight and tank. In the end it's all personal preference as I think they're about equal in effiency.

a master marksman with a good sliced rifle will win in a battle im thinking

But how would it be doing both? Say Master Rifleman and master swordsman or TK artist?

Master brawler rocks even with ranged professions. Right now im working on leveling up carbineer and its fun using the carbineer knockdown / warcry 2 on npc's. For some reason using warcry2 / carbineer knockdown / fullautosingle2 the npc stays down **edit** near 30 seconds and when he does get up all i have to do is knockdown again and then warcry again without any delay.

Personally, I dont like having to run around to avoid damage. I have never cared for the ranged lines simply because you have to run and shoot to take out a target.

I like standing there and dealing the damage and being able to either absorb it or shrug it off. I know that in PvP, ranged is better, simply for the distance you can put between yourself and target, but I would rather pursue to kill than kite to kill.

As a master brawler, formerly a 2hs, now working on fencer...i find the brawler elites to be the most rewarding for me.

I think a it depends on pvp or pve/

in pvp it depends on what skills you have to go with your brawler or marksman. But if it was just pure Master Marksman VS Master Brawler I would say the Brawler would win, as long as the brawler is able to avoid kitting.

In pve a marksman has a much better advantage than a brawler. As a marksman/scout you can go prone and get off 3-4 shots before the mob knows whats happening. Then all the marksman has to do is throw a few traps to to keep the creature out of attack range.

The only advantage I think that marksman has over brawler is that they have a wider selection of damage types with their weapons.

As long as a brawler is able to avoid kitting, they are going to kick some butt.

in groups with just having novice pistoleer and smuggler as my elite/hybrid skills, i was having some what of a hard time, but being an almost master brawler, my defenses just doubled. but then again i have a whole bunch of miscelleneous skills. For all those noobs, what ever prof. you decide to go with, stick with it and master it, saves you a lot of time and gives you direction. I love being brawler and thinking about not giving it up.

it is a personal opion i think. i am a hands on guy so i am going to be brawler. you might be the more i will let them come to me guy witch is guns.
both have there good templates. witch is good they did not make one more powerfull then the other
