I think warcry should be an AoE attack that makes you cancel combat on whatever the warcry hits. That way you can use it to get out of a sticky situation, but your autoattack won't cancel the warcry effect.
This could be a problem in group situations when several people are attacking and cancelling the warcry, so maybe have a very short (perhaps five seconds) time that the enemy is delayed in which your buddies can attack it and it will still be delayed. Then, after five seconds, any attack from anyone will cancel the warcry.
So basically:
-Warcry is an AoE that will delay enemies around you for 20 seconds, and make you stop attacking them so your auto attack does not cancel the warcry.
-If you decide to attack, then warcry will be cancelled.
-If someone else is attacking the enemy, you can warcry, and it will be delayed for 20 seconds if that person STOPS attacking it, or it will be delayed for 5 seconds, no matter who is attacking it (unless it is the person who did the warcry)
-If the person that did the warcry attacks in this five seconds, the effect is canceled.
I think this could make warcry have a good use, while at the same time keeping it from being too powerful ![]()

Ok, so they nerfed warcry, looks like we are stuck with its new incantation, like it or not.
What I amsuggesting is they change the frontal cone effect into a area effect. From my tests with the new nerfed Warcry since the publish I have founnd that it only delays targets in front of the player, and seems to have a very low chance of delaying multiple targets. I am suggesting they allow it to delay enemies in a circular radius and for it to be more effective at sticking on multiple targets. An example would be when you are getting attacked from all sides, uncluding from behind, youwould use warcry to effectivly stall enemies from attacking you while you continue to pummel the one target you have choosen. Of course if an area attack was used against the targets, the delay would be broken.
What do you other Brawlers think?
Working on it since before the publish went Live. I'll let you know as soon as I can.

Wait, if they JUST nerfed it, then what make you think they'll readily improve it so soon?

Cool, I think they would agree they never really thought this one through....I live in hope.

One minor piddly thing I'd like to see sometime in the near future is that warcry has some movement reduction (ala some sort of snare) effect along with it. One common problem we all face is running down a runner. It gets old and annoying after the first 5m or so of the chase. Having something like a 20% movement reduction while the delay is effective would be a great counter to the nerf.
Ah well. I can only hope.
