is it me or is warcry now useless?
as a master swordman/brawler i've found warcry2 ESSENTIAL due to my pityiful defense skills [roll on publish 8]
so in rolls publish 7 with my understanding that warcry would now me an AOE [rater than the existing cone]
and that people would be free to attack once it wore off or the took damage. fair enough i think, if attacked by a mob of 6
i can warcry them all, then attack one at a time. sounds a reasonable tradeoff, i think.
In effect [and i've tried it all night] itaffects 1 creature untill they take damage from you.
Which is USELESS, long enough to do a heal perhaps yes, but essentially pointless
anyone else had any better results with this?

ive tryed it while being agro'd by 2, and up to 6 in a mob
its only ever affected one of thim

thats what happens when people start crying for the nerf bat....and then someone else crys for something else and then it s like this big war of well nerf that too.....

I agree. Warcry1 and Warcry2 is now completely and utterly useless in PvE.
They should change it back.

give classes defenses Vs it, of a food that ressists
not ruin it by screaming 'nerf' [hate that word]

Yep. I tested it quite a bit in PVE last night against single and multiple targets. It's pretty useless now.

Yeah, it's useless now. But the brawler correspondent (Can't remember the name off the bat) says he THINKS that they will make Warcry AoE.... In Publish 8. So don't give up hope yet master brawlers. Sure, we have to make do with intimidate 2 and lunge 2 (which, for us swordsmen, will be seeing a lot less use) for *groan* a month.

well it's not completely useless. it's just much harder to use. when i am being aggro'd by multiple mobs, i tend to turn and run towards one of them to get the rest behind that one and in that split second i'll hit warcry. with any luck, i can catch anywhere from 2-4 mobs in teh cone and they'll all be delayed for 20 secs. then just choose 1 to wail on for 20 secs and dont' use any aoe attacks. i used this strategy before the nerf and i'd get a free 20 sec beat down on all of them. now you just have to choose 1.

I'm still trying to figure out why is was changed in this manner. I can unstand the complaint that is was alittle to much for pvp and pve...I could haveseen them lowering the range and making it a aoe attack... But a cone... A cone doesnt do me any good unless I have a pet fighting everything. In pve atleast with me the animals have always split so that warcry would have only hit the one I'm trageting.... I say shorten the range... so it alteast only affects tragets next to me and make it areaattack(Why? with a bigger range I can already see the nerf crys as covert walk into the middle of a group and then use it. Not everyone in a group is getting shot at that time so there would still be nerf cries.) Atleast with a shorter range it would make more since.. since you gain this skill from the brawler tree not a ranged skill. Plus your group could atleast spread apart alittle better so that serval are not hit by it... Which seems like a good idea anyway with the CM area poisions from hell! =D Oh, and dont have to say that would still hurt warcry as your wound't be able to warcry someone in pvp at they kited you, giving you more time to get in range of hitting them. I just want something that I can still use atleast somewhat in pvp and also in pve. An plain and simple... A smaller range area warcry would save me alot more in pve then pvp where if I have more then one ppl attacking me only a very very few times have they stayed close enough where even a area or cone warcry would have saved my life.
