Thread: The warrior lets forth a terrifying warcry, ... but then he runs away?!?

Warcry. Assasailantshouts to scare the hell out of the victim. Usually seen happening as two armies collide, or shortly beforean assailant delivers a crushing blow.

So why is it now a method of escape? Warcry at someone, then turn tail and run? I've never heard anything like it. Apart from that moment on ANH at the death star, where Han is screaming at the top of his lungs chasing after Storm Troopers, only to turn a corner and then start running away again but thats complicated...

Star Warsy feel: Early on ANH, Tatooine, a "Sand People" gets the jump on a naive young Skywalker, decks him, trys to crush his head with a Gaffi (which, lets face it, is a two-handed weapon) and then raises his arms to the sky and screams at him before the scene changes (warcry2). The next time we see Skywalker, he beenbeaten black and blue. Does anyone think for a moment, that the Tusken Raider let out that warcry and then ran off?

On another note, Wookie Roar(or was that a Warcry?) seems to be a method of causing small MSE Droids to run away.

SWG gameplay: Okay, in SWG terms the Tusken Raider used Lunged2, then Warcry2 straight into Peace Mode. His mates gathered aroundand thewhole lot of them ganked Luk3 5kyw41k3r for impersonating an official character. But thats not the point. It doesn't work as a cori-og-raphy (the spelling escapes me).

I know there are a hundred people complaining about Warcry's nerf, and I know there is at least one other thread currently running this point, but lets face it, I have a real arguement. Do you think Warcry should be a root/mes or do you think it should resemble something more tangible? Perhaps Warcry works as a "next shot does double damage" brawlers-answer-to-aim (kiai shout)? Maybe a "Low chance to hit, triple damage" attack? Personally I think Warcry should work as an initial charge. Youtab through your opponents, hit warcry and the opponent is forced to target you as you run at them. Sort of like a AggroControl / AutoAttack move. I am certain it needs changing, because it does not fit into a fight scene in its current incarnation (I reserve my opinion of its last incarnation, becuase that is not the issue),

Who's with me?

(and who has a decent idea?)

Take the blue pill,Ô
Play SWG, never dual-wield your pistols and believe whatever you want to believe.
Take the red pill,Ô
Play MxO, and I will show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

SWG was never the game I wanted it to be, even before the NGE. All the NGE did is take away what gameplay SWG actually did have.

Just an additional quick note: One of my main reasons for starting this thread and not replying to one of the others is that I don't beleive AoE Warcry to be such a good idea in my current arguement. AoE warcry, so that you can stall everyone around you? With either the intention to beat on one mob or to run away from the lot of them?

Maybe Warcry should cause them to run away from you?

A Brawlers answer toThreaten Shot. Warcry1 workson a single target, Warcry2 is a PBAoE.The Barbarian class from Shadowbane thought it was great. They had Berserk, Warcry and a few less usefull abilities and they were one of the most often seen classes. Mind you, their version of berserk was more like consuming both Moun and Neutron and doing Berserk at the same time, and their Warcry caused just about anything to run away, and keep running until the "scared**edit**less" status ran out. Very good if you're acting as a bodyguard for a long range group.

Good post by the way

I agree

now to my other question. It is off topic but its meant as a joke since obviously the Tusken was a master fencer/master brawler

would Luke be considereda novice marksmen or a 0/2/0/0 marksmen?
