hey...

does anyone know the math behind the toughness mod? whats the scale/progession? is the damage reduction applied before or after armor? whats the max toughness and/or max damage reduction?

thanks.

if thats the case then they need to fix the tooltip text for the mod+'s.... it reads something along the lines of "reduces damage taken".... but i think thats what it actually is, based on observation while playing....

Yes, toughness is what reduces the damage you take while unarmoured. I read it is meant to work for all damage types but it seems to only work on Melee attacks, to me.

Well, I told you once, told you twice.
I told you before.
Just 'cause I'm the bad guy, don´t mean I'm gonna lose 'em all

From what I understand, if you have a toughness of 24, then you have 24% resistance to melee damage. That's what I've been told, and it seems to be true.

Toughness is a direct % of damage reduction. +25 Toughness is 25% damage reduction. +57 Toughness (TKM) is 57% damage reduction.

This works against melee attacks only. It seems to work vs Powerhammers and Vibrolances, so I don't think it's damage type specific, just delivery. It stacks with armor, which is why in a previous thread I had said that even with armor and DR food, you can't beat toughness. A M Brawler/ TKM with some ubese (or high kinetic composite) can abosorb a ridiculous amount of melee damage, and M Swordsman come in with a close second.
