its too late right now, dont even bother with the old system of basically having to master all 32 professions. Wait until publish 10 and do the quest system (no info at all on the publish yet)

Right now, You must master a bunch of professions. You will never Master enough in time. Might as well wait too the new system goes into effect. It is supposed to be quest based.

Start by doing some research. Most of your questions can be answered by the main SWG website in the Jedi Archives. There are currently 3 of these posted there that describe the changes being made to the entire system of becoming and playing Jedi in SWG.
It is highly likely we will see a fourth installment of these archives today that describes the conversion process that current Jedi will endure next Tuesday.
You can also find more than thousands of posts in here on the topic either by scrolling back through history, or using that SEARCH feature in the lower left bottom of this screen.
I hope that helps.

I started off as a brawler, using the wood pole to level through the profession. I just started playing yesterday, so I'm not familiar with the tree at all, all I know is I'm on level 2 on the far right, the pole expert or something lol. What I wantto know is how do level all the way to 4 on all 4 brawler options, and then would I be OK to become a Jedi? I know I have to wait for a visit from the Old Man in order to start the whole Jedi thing, I just don't want to waste my time just to become something I'm not interested in right now.
Thanks!
Thanks!

To be a jebi you have to go to endor in your boxers and stand in the middle of the wollymander templer and start shouting also you need to drop all the skills you learnt
(if ya didnt guess i dont like jebi's)
Or you could go look in the jebi and force sensitive forums.

I've been asking questions over there, don't worry, I just wanted to hear from people who started off like me.

To level all the way to 4 on all 4 brawler branches, you need to fight with each type of weapon you're training in. You used a Wood Pole, so you got polearm experience (xp). If you equip a 1-handed weapon (sword) you'll get 1-handed weapon xp. If you use an axe, you'll get 2-handed weapon xp. Finally, if you don't use any weapon at all, ora Vibroknuckler, you get unarmed xp.

I'm not sure on the requirements for profession mastery for Force Sensitivity, but you'll need to get some badges from themeparks, which can be challenging combat-wise. Master Brawler is nice, but consider going up to an elite combat profession, if only to Novice and all the way up 1 skill branch. That way, your xp level will have a higher capacity, and you'll need all xp banked as you can to convert to FS xp.
Jedi isn't easy to get, it's going to take about 5 or 6 months just to unlock all your Force Sensitivity skills. Then you've got to fill them up with xp. Good luck!

OK, one question, how do I start on the other brawler branches? Do I just buy the other types of weapons or do I have to ask the brawler trainer something? When I talk to him now, all he says is he can't train me until I get more XP, how do I start on the other branches? Thanks for taking the time to talk to a noob

though its a bit off topic in this forum.
first thing you have to keep in mind is that becoming a jedi is a serious task that takes a LOT of time and efford. to be honest - its boring as hell.
and when you are a jedi the real grind starts.
i suggest reading the jedi and force sensitive forums to get a picture of what to expect.
for brawler - i would suggest to pick medic as secondary profession. its always handy to be able to heal yourself.
also select one or 2 brawler based elite professions (Teras Kasi Artist, Fencer, Swordsman, pikeman) to get some decent combat skills.
here a small comparison:
- Teras Kasi Artist (Unarmed Combat): imo the jack of all trades. medium defense, medium damage. they can also heal their wounds, poisons, diseases, bleeds and can boost their stats for a while. good all around character. not very equipment dependend.
- Fencer (One handed combat): best defenses, low damage. mainly used in PvP. requires good equipment to be effective.
- Swordsman (Two Handed Combat): low defences, very high damage. powerful PvE profession. though you need good equipment to bring him to full potential. very good in taking out high level single mobs. can kill almost everything alone.
- Pikeman (Polearms): low/medium defenses, med/high damage output. masters of area attacks. can handle virtually any amount of small/med sized mobs at the same time through the ability to attack all targets in a radius simultaneusly. best style imo.
