I just wanted to share with my fellow brawlers the methods I used to gain my mostly solo experience to reach Master Brawler.

First get a droid. It doesn't matter what kind. Any will do. I picked up a R5 unit, but only because ! couldn't find a mouse droid.

Make sure to train your droid with the group, follow and stay commands. Then call your droid, group with it and tell it to stay. Having a droid grouped with you while you solo will automatically grant you 25% more exp.

Now the method I use to advance is a little strange, but it worked for me.

Start as a scout, migrate your stats in the tutorial (I'll talk about what I use currently at the end) and once in the game proper, train up in brawler and possibly marksman or medic.

I started in Bestine as it is one of the busiest cities, which helps when it comes to training. Of course, the tradeoff is you have to deal with the lag, but it was worth it as far as I was concerned.

Check the bazaar at this point for any low price basic weaponry. If you are lucky you can pick up all three of the basic weapons (knife, wood staff and heavy axe) for 60-100 creds.

Then just stick to the areas close to the city, picking off the newb creatures. I raised all my skills evenly at this point, maxing the xp in all four trees (2k) before training them all at once. This prevented me from having the temptation to pick on slightly harder targets just because I hade slightly more skill. It is better to kill two creatures for 50xp each with no downtime then one 100xp creature, but with 30 seconds of downtime.

At the second skill box start taking missions for nuna lairs and gorg lairs. These will advance you to expert quickly, and provide the cash for more advanced weaponry.

The 70,000 xp grind is easiest to do by taking deseased bocatt lair missions. each bocatt is worth 250xp in your droid group, and lairs can provide 3000 xp a time. The best lair xp gain I've had is when the mission has generated two lairs around 64m apart. you can run between the two, regenerating creatures each time.

Using this plan I currently have 70000creds in the bank along with great weaponry for each tier.

Stat Migration:

Currently I have maxed health, strength, action and dexterity. Mind is 100 points above minimum, and everything else I have at minimum levels. I chose this path to gain maximum efficiency on special move cost, but will probably choose to upgrade mind at a later point.

Sorry this is kinda rambling, but I'm late for work, and decided to write this on the spur of the moment

Pretty good guide. Instead of doin the missions I actually hung around town and killed the easy stuff because it is best to kill small stuff fast. The lairs do give 3000 occasionally but i think this is some kind of group bug...thought it was only higher level creature lairs that did it but ive seen smaller ones do this while in a group. My technique was just to create waypoints at all the various spawns around town and speed killing stuff...the waypoints help becuase it gets pretty tedious and half the time im not paying attention. I have 1100h 1100a 850m. I have str and quickness as high as possible too...I think this is more important than having the 100-200 extra health you might get...just my 2 cents.

Okay, now that I havea little more time, let me try to expand on my lair for 3k xp thing as I didn't explain it well enough before

For this it helps tremendouly to have a weak ranged weapon hotkeyed to slot 12 and your melee weapon that you are trying to gain xp in in slot 11.

When you reach your lair of choice (to go from expert to master on tatooine, preferably deseased bocatts) kill off the 2 guards quickly (500xp for 2 adults).

Now shoot the lair from a distance once with your pistol, and switch quickly to your melee weapon. Do not peace out. You should notice after a couple of seconds that the lair damages itself for about 80 damage. Each time a lair does this, it spits out a creature to kill. Beacuse you are still classed as attacking the lair, even though you are out of range, the creatures will head right at you (useful if there are any passer-bys looking to take a swipe at your xp). Kill off the creature and and once again attack the lair, this time WITHOUT firing the pistol shot. More creatures should emerge. If the flow of creatures stops, take one more potshot at the lair.

Once the lair is almost dead, you can either finish off the lair and move onto the next, or run out of range of the lair (about 128m), run back, and hopefully the lair should have reset, along with its guards.

Using this method, each lair can gain you lots more xp then just destroying in the fastest time possible.

Don't forget that if you decide to join in the Galactic Civil War that is in full-swing, you'll be going up against the enemy's snipers. With low mind score, you will die before the battle goes more than 2 seconds.

With the amount of damage being thrown out by ranged fighters in all three pools, 2-3 shots is all it takes no matter what the pool. I would put money on a PvP bleed nerf a little ways down the line.

Didn't they get rid of the bonus xp from grouping w/ a droid?? (exploit)

Huh? I'm confused. You mean just hit the attack button on the lair when you're out of range with your MELEE weapon?? How would that cause spawns?

Running out of the area causes it to respawn? I haven't tried that but it sounds fishy...

I would have thought grouping with a pet to gain more xp was not considered an exploit because in general the pet will do damage and take xp away. Now just because in my example the pet is doing no damage does not mean that it couldn't potentially do damage. If you remove the extra experience for grouping (across the board) you only hurt grouping, and to be honest, its not really that big a deal when you consider some of the ways there are to gain much larger amounts of xp ina much shorter time.

I did not say that attacking the lair from outside of melee range actually caused the creatures to spawn (although it often seems that way. What seems to happen is that by being out of range the lair considers you hostile, therefore throws out creatures to defend itself. In order to do this, the lair has to cause itself damage, as this is the method employed by the devs to spawn lair defenders. As a by-product of this, the lair defenders head right at you because you are the one threatening the lair, even though you are not directly damaging it.

Yes, going out of range and re-rentering range re-spawns the lair. Happens two or three times generally before the lair remembers the amount of damage you have done to it. This is literally a case of how the spawning system in SWG works in that mobs spawn when a player is in the vicinity to save system resources.

Thanks for that. I'm mainly training in scouting and pistol, but I was thinking of going out and getting Novice Brawler to get myself up the TKA tree as well.
