I would check the player vendors in some of the player cities. You may have to hunt around a bit. If you can find "malls", which are player buildings with tons of vendors inside, they're a good one-stop shop to find everything you need. Make sure you have enough credits.
If you go to a weapons vendor and it doesn't have what you're looking for, you could also send a /tell or in-game email to the creator of the weapons on the vendor (which you can find in the details windor of each weapon on the vendor) and ask him/her for what you're looking for.
As a last resort, you could have a look at the trade forum for the galaxy that you're in. You could post a WTB (where to buy) for the specific weapon you're looking for.
Hope that helps.

Word of mouth works wonders, I know vendors that keep melee weapons stocked are rare, but I know there exists one on shadowfire at least and I'm sure there's at least one on bria, just ask some master elite brawlers where they get their weapons and go check the places out for urself, when the last shop I got melee weapons from closed I did just that, asked around, and ended up finding a very good shop that wasn't even on the worldmap.

Oh btw about ur comment on ONLY having a curved sword, for leveling purposes a speed sliced curved sword is the best thing for leveling 1h all the way through novice fencer, after you make ur way up the footwork tree in fencer though eventually the gaffi stick becomes the best for leveling, oddly enough the cert for both is in 1handed 1 in brawler, so don't just compare weapons by where the cert is, but what you are using it for also.

Put a notice on your galaxy trade board asking for any information on good melee vendors. Chances are there will even be a Weaponsmith that specializes in Melee weapons.

In many instances (even been a master Weaponsmith) a great deal of the time, you'll find that a curved word is about the best you can get on a speed/damage ratio. The MAJOR difference with higher level weapons in the brawler branch is the ability to do other types of damage besides kinetic. So, there IS a place for Gaffi sticks, etc., but you have to utilize your wepaons according to what you're hunting.
Yes, it's a trade-off. And there is a good chance you can find really great higher level weapons somewhere... they'll just be rare, expensive, and hard to find...

Curved Swords are excellent. I have a 2handed Curved Sword, and it's far more powerful than a standard Power Hammer, and less expansive. I can hit for 800-1300 every 1.5 seconds, in the Mind Pool !! I sometimes use the power hammer for his blast damage but it's slow as hell, and ham cost are awful. (100+ in Health).
To find a good weaponsmith, ask your friends and visit Player Cities. There's always a tent with a weapon vendor

No curved will match up to a powerhammer. I do use both when i run into something with blast resist and yes i realize that hammers are slow but when my hammer has a min damage around 180(i think)and a max damage of 614 my specials can hit for 5k on standing creatures, 8k on downed ones. Speed isnt really so much of an issue once you master swordsman. Actually the slow speed of the hammer is your friend when it comes to HAM burning. It shouldnt really be an issue though...fight buffed and all you gotta worry about is mind.

I need to level more skills in Swordsman to find if it's true, actually only a Novice Swordsman. But yeah the Blast damage is definitely useful.
On the other hand I tend to miss more often with a power hammer...
