Thread: Center of Balance Question

I've just started out in the Brawler Tree and I am enjoying it very much.
I have a question in regards to center of Balance though. I would have a one-handed sword equipped, hit center of balance and then attack. I would get the screen notice right away that I seem to have lost my balance or some such thing, I can't remember how it was worded. In short, my center of balance ended.
How does it work and what does it do for you?
From other posts on this forum I gather that it increases your defence in some manner. Does it prevent you from making special attacks?
Any explanations would be greatly appreciated.

Center of Being (CoB) reduces the amount of damage / wounds taken. It makes you avoid more blows.
Its effectiveness and duration increases with your progression in the Brawler Skill Tree.
I'm not sure if you can do specials while in CoB though... can't remember since I don't use it that much. But it's useful at high level.

No your rightyou cant do specials with CoB, it brings you out of your centered state.
