Thread: Which should I go up?

Which is better? TKM or M. Fencer? I know TKM has a better damage output, but what about tanking? I always see M. Fencers tanking against PvE, which is what I care about.
I'll be pairing it up with MCH.
Didn't know what board to post it in...I figured if I went to the TKA boards, they'd say TKA is better and if I went to the Fencer boards, they'd say Fencer is better. =P

if you go the fencer route, you might want to master brawler for the kd. also, when tanking, you have no better friend than warcry2 and intimidate2. having free reign on your mob for 20 seconds, then having it hit you for half damage until you can apply warcry again 10 seconds later is a blessing in itself.
if you're going to pvp, well, tka's will outdamage fencers unless your opponent is wearing high kinetic resist armor. and even then, stun batons are usually on the weaker side andyou can't stack your bleeds anymore. but, if you do get that knockdown with master brawler, its pretty easy to stick a dizzy on someone then either posturechange or kd them. up to you really.
also keep in mind that tka's can target the mind pool, wich is another advantage they have, being able to attack any HAM bar.
as far as tanking goes, a lot of the fencers you see now also have pistoleer dodge mods. as of now that helps. in the future, who knows. i know that when i go on big hunts, i'm the tank along with my friend who is a master brawler/fencer/pistoleer. we both do pretty well, but at the end, i'm the one usually left standing.

I played both and honestly at Master a fencer will be equal to or outdamage a TKM of the same lvl. In pvp my Fencer always hit harder due to kinetic resists and the fact for some reason my UA3 with vk's would hit for 800 or so while my 1 hand hit 3 Cho Mok hit for about 1400.. The only reason I went back to TK was I missed my KD moves to much heh.
