Thread: what is the fastest way to grind a brawler?

with the changes to the DoT (damage over time) systems, there isn't a fast way to grind through brawler anymore. just go out and kill some mobs like most people have done. start off outside of town to get that 1k xp to get the first skill in each tree. it doesn't take that long to get. after that, you get your hit1 attack (unarmedhit1, 1handhit1, 2handhit1 and polearmhit1). if you are a master of any other combat class, take on a tougher mission. go ahead and kill off all the critters with your other profession, but hit the lair only with whatever brawler tree you're working on. higher end missions will give 5-7k xp for just the lair. keep doing this, and master brawler won't be far behind, not to mention a fatter bankroll.
if you're doing this for a holocron, then by all means breeze through it. if you're doing it because you want to be a master brawler, take the time and see what each attack does. check the subtle differences that each weapon offers. by doing this, you can then decide on which elite brawler profession you'd like to pursue (if any) and know how to use your newly accquired skills to your advantage.

I think the fastest wat to grind a brawler is toknock him out first. Grinding them while they thrash about is just a waste of time.

The best way to grind brawler is to kill things. Lots and lots of things.

Brawler is a pain to grind without being able to do DoT attacks. Your only chance to gain xp quickly without another elite combat class is to
1) buff
2) use moun
3) get some 80% kinetic armor
4) use a pet, probot ect.
5) join large groups (and this only works well if there are pets or other melee to take some heat off you)
if you can't find/afford those things prepare to run around killing a lot of yard trash like rills at about 70 xp a pop, because 2 hits from a voritor and you're dead.

I find that if I hang about in any of the noob areas that I can get the first 3 levels of anyone of the 4 Brawler trees in a few hours. Its the 4th level of each one thatmakes Brawler a real pain. I'm really lucky though because I have a friend who's trying for Master Doctor and therefore he's an exp-whore, so if I get bored or justfeel like fighting bigger/harder things, he's always more than happy to just stand near me with his scent masked and heal me as I get the sh*t shot, bitten and punched outta me - sounds like a Saturday night in Brum or Glasgow to me!!! lol - He's just about to be able to buff now too...I'm glad I gave him so many Dancer and Musician buffs for free when I did those prof's now...hehehe...
