I need to grind out the last bit of xp to give me novice Pikeman.. 12500 polearm xp.

Im using a Long vibro axe and a Lance atm and the DMG from them is quite nice but I just cant seem to hit anything. Any ideas to help me along this tree?

Preferably, I need to know specific hunting areas that yield the best xp/hour and any special techniques for landing hits more often.

I generally hunt fully buffed with Corellian fried ice cream and Muon so HAM costs are negated.

Thanks in advance for any help

you can go to dantooine and kill lesser plains bols over and over. someone stated this in another thread. they only give about 300 xp per kill, but they're easy to take down, and you can find missions for them pretty fast.

when i was grinding to teras kasi novice and pikeman novice, i would search for mountain worrts and greater desert womp rats. i would go fully buffed andthen i'd just hack away at them. they give anywhere from 1200 to 1600 xp per kill. and stay clear of the LVA until you get up there in pikeman. the VL is much better t grind with IMO. its not as strong, but its a heck of a lot more accurate.

and remember, warcry and intimidate are your best friends. also, intimidate and stun will make your targets easier to hit.

When I was shooting for novice pike I would have a lance, vl and lva keyed up and ready to go. Usuallly entering combat I would stun with the lance and once it hit I would use the LVA untill the stun wore off. Switching back to the lance anytime I needed to apply a state or posture change. The VL would come out for the mobs with low electric resists or on those days when no matter what you do you can't connect with the LVA. A great combo if you have master brawler is stun, kd, warcry, switch to LVA and beserk. With beserk up you beat the thing senseless from there on out. The other thing is check your pike's. Round up post nerf...ahm, patch lances. Slightly better accuracy mods with them, might help around novice, unfortunately for some reason a few of the masters seem to think they miss more. /shrug

If you get Ranged Support 1 from Marksman line, you can use /aim. It'll increase your chances to hit amazingly. At least, it did pre-patch. /shrug

Indeed, a Post-Patch LVA will help a lot. If you can find a weaponsmith to make you one experimented all the way up in range modifiers that would probably help, though it will make the typically slow LVA slower (since dmg/speed attributes are linked).Using a Lance is pretty much your best option, all the way up through to Novice. I've found that once you have level 3, you can go find a wild lair of some kind (kaadu or spiders on naboo for instance) and hit the lair once, after the spawns start coming keep spamming your spin attack. Itll kill 20 as fast as 1, greatly increasing your xp gain rate.

I can't say it enough... hermit spider sentries on naboo. Kill them a lot. Pound on the lair, spin attack, kill five, six, thirteen.. whatever. One spin attack with your LVA (provided you actually hit) should flatten all of them. They're about 600xp per...
