I am a master AS, looking to pick up a brawl prof to hunt with.....Instead of asking which is the most 'uber', I thought instead I would simply ask you to list your favorite part of your profession that the others don't have.
This could be a skill, weapon, or ability, or general feel/look. brag away.

While TKA might not do as much damage per hit as Heavy Swordsman, their overall utility makes them useful in many different roles.
With Center of Being and Powerboost, they can tank for a short period if they need to. Also, debuffing the enemy with things like blind, stun, dizzy, knockdown and etc are useful
Also, if a TKA gets enough of a mind buff, they can wail away with Unarmed Hit 2 or 3 to bring their damage up in line with some of the more powerful melee professions.
Meditation is also useful in the field for curing disease, poison and wounds.

Fencer is just all out cool - plus if you get a suit of tusken gear, you can roleplay a tusken!
(how do you spell that roar they do?)

I'm a Teras Kasi Master AND a Master Swordsman.
They play very very differently. The Master Swordsman is ridiculously good in PVE (especialy if you are willing ot invest the points in master brawler to get the knockdown, speed, and accuracy bonus). The Medium Armor Piercing and blast damage option are very good, and the head hits and area attacks are great. Swordsman defensive skill (counterattack) actually works. If you're looking to go PVE loot hunting (components and such) I'd say swordsman in a heartbeat.
Teras Kasi is a whole different animal. Force of Will is awesome when it works. The damage output vs non-armored/resist opponents is retarded. against armored or heavily kinetic resist opponents things start to get a little less good. Teras Kasi also works much better against humanoids than animals (knockdown and dizzy are much better here). The ability to get rid of wounds, bleeds, poison, and disease in the field is also invaluable. Defensive Acuity doesnt do anything at the moment, but even without it Teras Kasi are decent at defense. not great, but decent.
If I had to pick just one to keep, I'd take Teras Kasi, just for versatility, but you really cant go wrong with either one.
The only thing I have to stress, is buffs. Yes I know everyone uses them and its stupid to need buffs to compete, but the issue isnt your ham pools, its your secondaries, Buffs will let you actually USE your special moves, which a melee guy HAS to do to survive. If you're at range you arent getting hit, you can take as long as you want to kill something. If its whacking on you though, you need to dispatch as quickly as possible. Espeically since EVERYTHING in this game packs... so you'll e fighting 3 or 4 on 1 every time.

If you have the points to invest in Master Brawler as well, the best thing is watching 8300+ floaty damage drifting over the dead body of a Tusken you just two hit killed with the PowerHammer using Lunge2 followed by Hit3. And that is not just the Commoners. Most things drop in two to three hits like that, and only the Carnage Champion gives me any grief there.
Brag time? Well, I have to say, I love my rifleman skills, but the most satisfying night I have ever had playing this game was when I was buffed and running amok through Fort Tusken solo using only Master Swordman/Master Brawler skills. I had a group of 3 or 4 people I did not knowask me if I minded if they followed me around. They did not even ask me to group with them, so they were not getting a lot of loots (because I was out damaging them almost every time). They just wanted to gain what XP they could standing safelyback while I unleashed the carnage of the Hammer of Death. One guy commented on how well I was doing, and I said that it was mainly because I was buffed and could stand in there with them, and he said, "Buffed or not. You're kicking Tusken #@@!!" I have to smile every time I think about it.
Oh, by the way, I had deposited all my credits before going to the Fort that night. When I got done for the night, I checked my inventory and found that I had looted 27k in credits alone for the night. You gotta love that.
