Wondering if anyone else has had this happen or something similiar. I was grinding away Brawler (went silent after Squad Leader) and had qualified for 2H IV, Polearm IV and subsequently Master Brawler before heading back to train. I was using the closest NPC Brawler trainer, which was in a player city (not going to mention the city, unless someone really wants to know). I first trained 2H IV, then trained Polearm IV and got the message that I was "city banned and unable to use any city services", but continued to train Master Brawler, and was able to train. I also heard the lightning sound when I trained Polearm IV, but think that was just because I qualified for Master Brawler. I am going to follow the theory that the lightning sound maybe tired to the FSCS and train up PIkeman. Just for the fact of the two weird occurences while training one skill. I would of never noticed either of these, but am now actively looking and listening for anything out of the ordinary when training skills since I went silent and am trying to unlock before they change the system.

did you try creating a new char on your server? might be you DID unlock and just don't know

and what city was it?

Have you gone back to the same city and tried to train since? The only way you should be able to be city banned is if someone with the authority (mayor or malitia) targets you and types /cityban. However, I would also guess that this would mean that you cannot start the conversation with the trainer, but that it would not break the conversation once it was started.

So what I would assume happened is that you started training, someone saw you, and city banned you for whatever reason. But since you were already training with that NPC, you were able to continue. I would, therefore, expect that if you went back now and were still city banned for some reason, you would not be able to use the trainer.

The other possibility is that the city ban does not affect trainers, but I would doubt this.

I would go back to the city and try and see if you can talk to the trainers still.

That lightning theory is a fake I also heard that noise when I was doing image designer which did not unlock my fs

yes, the lightning theory, you get it every time you earn a skill, sometimes you dont hear it because of combat circumstances, or other reasons.
