I'm going to stick with the unarmed/TK I was using in beta. With that said, I'll add that I definitely look forward to seeing swords & polearms continue to be balanced up to where their performance is equally respectable and all four have elements and roles to make them unique. In other games I've played both the "template of the week" and the ultra-gimp, and having a significant amount of either in a game makes for unsatisfying play.

What is the lowest 2-handed XP weapon anyways? i.e. the CDEF weapon/staff of 2-handed xp. I thought maybe staff but that's polearm

I think the newbie 2h weapon is the heavy axe

I am also going to stick with Unarmed as in Beta for the time being.

i will go unarmed in beta i loved it but alot seem to want to do it so i may go sword.

I shall become an Unarmed then TKA, polearm then Pikeman. I just love both those fighting styles so much that I could not chose. The TKA is just a blast because you get to wade into the thick of the fight and use your bare hands to make your point. Then the Polearm styles are just SOOOO much fun to watch.

I'm going to stick with unarmed. Eventually, I want to also get a carbine for long range attacks. My question is how long does it take to unequip the rifle and go empty hands? Is it worth it to try to master both?

You can do it just about instantly, NightFear. What you'd want to do is open your inventory and drag the rifle to a slot on your hotkey. Then just press whatever that key is to equip your rifle. Press it again to switch to empty hands.

I think mastering both would turn outa nicely well rounded fighter.

unarmed for me

I plan to master brawler eventually and then go on to 2 handed or polearm. I just like the idea of using a heavy weapon to rain down crushing blows onto my enemies. Probably a little bit of pistol in there since males look stupid running with carbines and rifles IMHO.

Don't bring a knife to a gun fight.

The one problem with being melee is your not going to be good at PVP. so you'll be pve. i found that i can become Teras Kasi/Commando while i was in beta. So that gives me nice pvp pve pvmecha options =P

i'd fight you melee do my combo's if i feel it gets to ruff i'll unarmed knockdown you switch to flamethrower or acid rifle and set you on fire =P.. or pull out my trusty pistol =P

but i am planing on Going Unarmed 1 becouse i believe in the teras kasi way of life more then the jedi way of life and 2 i need it as a prereq for commando
