Hmm, it depends on what you like. But, fencer is it for me, strong(very) hitting super hard, a match up with tka

Ill go with Fencer also. If im buffed, drunk on 2 brandys and a muon, and have 80% Kinetic Comp armor i never lose to a TKM

Fencer is the best PvP proffesion in my opinion. I'm a buffed TKM usually, against a buffed Fencer and it no way can I ever beat them with the same armor and everything. I can easily put 37% Stun Layered Composite, however, it some rare cases, a fencer will come out on top.

Depends, what type you are going for? I PvP usually and find that being a TKM is getting crap each time I cannot take down that buffed enemy I KD. I'm thinking of switching to fencer and will grind this in a week.

I think fencer is the best. They are strong, but my favorite part is their superior defenses! I've heard swordsman is better for PvE since they can hit so hard, so if that's your thing then maybe swordsman would be the best.

heavy swordsman is one of the more fun classes. using doctor buffs, two vasarian brandy, intimidate 2, center of being, i can drop a force crystal hunter one on one using the mind hit 2 (bleed) and head hit 3 to drop them. takes five minutes to do so because of their 80% reisists to all (i use a damage sliced powerhammer) and their 23k or more ham. i did it twice in a row, so it's not a coincidence.

and to clarify my swordsman is a trandoshan, and i have never worn, or owned any sort of armor in this game. i also fare decently in pvp, not the best at it but decent in it.

it depends on what you want to do with it, but also how many credits you can/will drop, and what you combo it with. I'm a master swordsman/brawler with some tk and fencer, and a pure anything will never beat me in a fight if i'm prepared. It is the combos that are necessary to cover weaknesses, as well as loot enhanced weapons and skill tapes if you want to pvp. If you go swordsman you will have to get speed tapes to hit 1/1 with damage sliced hammers. Anyway, the real strength of tk is the meditation line, fencer is stun damage (which is becoming less important since people are getting stun armor easier now), swordsmen can directly hit the mind pool with ap2 weapons, and pikeman get an area kd with an ap2 weapon which makes them interesting to say the least.

If pve is your game however, you don't need the skill tapes (unless you plan on hunting really big game like night sisters, jedi, or krayts) or the loot enhanced weapons. Once again a combination of professions is always better, but independently, tkms have the best pure dps though it is kinetic. Fencers have the best defense of any profession, swordsmen are the heavy hitters, and pikeman have the most damage types with 3 ( this is huge since as a swordsman or tk you will find things that have 100% resists and you can't scratch them).

Keep in mind that a Pikeman's 3rd damage type is only available as a rare loot drop from the most difficult to kill Nightsister in the game. And then you'd still need the looted Nightsister vibromotors.

True it is rare, but still a possiblility that the other 3 professions don't have.

If you like pve I would go either TKA or Swordsman, both are very good at pve

If you want to go pvp then i would stay with Fencer or Pike because they can be good with the right AA. I know pike is not the best right now but by the new revamp on them they look like they might be the next flavor of the month.
