You can access this in-game with your Holocron. That's Ctrl-H for those of you who haven't touched it in a while. It's the Customer Service button, and the first Tab on the Customer Service box. Feel free to search for anything brawler related, and if you find something wrong, please post it here. I've gone through to discover that Bounty Hunter, is indeed NOT a Hybrid of the Brawler Profession

Thank you for kicking off this post MasterOfCombat. The Knowledge Base in game is quickly growing to cover more and more topics and provide the most accurate information possible. On a daily basis entries are published to the Knowledge Base and any errors that are located are fixed and published.fficeffice" />

The exciting thing about the Knowledge Base is that the response time for the entries can be so swift. If you locate an error in the Knowledge Base and bring it to your correspondent we can fix it and have the corrected version in game within hours or even minutes of receiving that information. Any gaps in the Knowledge Base can also be quickly filled.

I’ve asked your correspondent to start a thread like this for two reasons. First the Knowledge Base is very important to us, but right now it is under utilized. I’m working with the Correspondents and the Developers to increase awareness for the Knowledge Base. Soon we’ll be changing some things in game to make the Knowledge Base a lot more visible.

That brings me to my second reason for coming to you – information that is as complete and accurate as possible. When the Knowledge Base becomes more prominent it will be vital for it to be as complete and accurate as possible. We have been working internally and with the Correspondent program to comb the Knowledge Base and add new entries. We would really appreciate it if you could point out anything that you find to be in error, out dated, or simply missing. If you think a question needs to be asked that’s not here please post it, or send it directly to your correspondent. We’ll work to get as many into the Knowledge Base as we can.

Thank you for your support and we really hope that you find the Knowledge Base to be a useful source of information. Please keep in mind that the Knowledge Base is intended to provide information about systems and policies but will not provide direct spoilers.

For quick answers to many game play questions, you may want to first reference the knowledge base located in the Holocron Menu. You can do so by selecting the customer service option and then using the knowledge base tab. We have recently added hundreds of new FAQs and answers and more will be added more daily, so give it a try!

"What weapons can I use as a Novice Brawler?"

Although an Novice Brawler is only certified for the Dagger, a one-handed weapon, everyone begins with the certification for theSurvival Knife, a one-handed melee weapon, theHeavy Axe, a two-handed melee weapon and the Wooden Staff which is a polearm. All of these weapons are crafted by an Artisan, nota Weaponsmith, so try to find a high level Artisan to make you the best one possible.

Awesome! Feel like expanding it out so it covers the whole Brawler Tree?

What additional weapons do I gain access to as I advance in Brawler and which are the best?

In the One-Handed tree atTier Iyou gain access to the Sword, the Curved Sword, and the Gaderiffi Baton. At Tier II you gain access to the Vibroblade. At Tier III you gain access to the Ryyk Blade. At Tier IV you gain access to the Rantok Sword. A Novice Fencer gains access to the Stun Baton.

For One-Handed Tier I to Novice Fencer the Curved Sword is an excellent choice. Usually very fast with decent damage. The Sword has slightly more damage and is slightly slower, with a more balanced HAM cost. The Gaderiffi Baton is a slower, higher damaging weapon than others, with a tighter damage range, it is also typically less accurate. At Tier III onthe Ryyk Blade is also a good choice, slightly slower than the Curved, but with an edge in damage. The Vibroblade is good against anything that has high kinetic resistance or armor since it is the only one-handed weapon with Armor Piercing. The Rantok Sword is only aquired as loot.

In the Two-Handed tree at Tier I you gain access to the Two-Handed Axe. At Tier II you gain access to the Two-Handed Curved Sword. At Tier III you gain access to the Vibro Axe. At Tier IV you gain access to the Two-Handed Cleaver. A Novice Swordsman gains access to the Powerhammer.

For Two-Handed Tier I if you can find a Two-Handed Axe it will serve you well until you can use the Two-Handed Curved Sword at Tier II. The Two-Handed Curved sword will remain an excellent weapon even into Swordsman. The Two-Handed Cleaver has a more narrow damage range, but is slower than the Two-Handed Curved Sword. The Two-Handed Axe is the most accurate two-handed weapon, and the Vibro axe is less accurate and slower, but with a good damage spread to compensate.

In the Polearms tree at Tier I you gain access to the Metal Staff and the Reinforced Combat Staff. At Tier II you gain access to the Lance. At Tier III you gain access to the :Long Vibro Axe. There is no additional Certification at Tier IV. A Novice Pikeman gains access to the Vibro Lance.

For Polearms Tier I the Metal Staff is a common choice for its good balance of damage and speed. It is distinguished by a very low Health cost for special attacks. The Reinforced Combat Staff is made by Artisans (the only Tier II weapon they make) and is typically faster, more accurate and less damaging. The Lance at Tier II isremains an excellent weaponthrough the rest of the Polearms tree. At Tier III you become certified for the Long Vibro Axe, although it hasmuch higher damage than the Lance, it is fairly inaccurate and a the user should expect to miss significantly more.

Unarmed gains no Certifications until Novice Teras Kasi Artist, where the user gains the Vibroknuckler Certification.

I just wanted to stop by and say that we’re very thankful for all of the input we have received from the community. Over the last few weeks the Knowledge Base has seen literally thousands of new entries in every conceivable topic. Many of the best questions have come directly from these forums.

fficeffice" />

If you have not yet taken a look at the Knowledge Base I encourage you to do so. With Publish 7 (currently on ffice:smarttags" />Test Center and coming soon to a server near you) the Knowledge Base will be more visible with some User Interface changes that are going in. We also hope to further revamp the User Interface for the Knowledge Base in the next few publishes following 7.

If you have questions regarding game systems, even if you know the answers to those questions or think they are silly, please either post here or work with your correspondent to get those questions to us. The more information we can put in the Knowledge Base the more useful it will be for all of us. We are also interested in feedback on existing entries from typos to incorrect wording or information. Bring those to your correspondent as well.

Finally I want to stress again that the Knowledge Base is one of the items in Star Wars Galaxy that we can update and modify whenever we choose. If you see that the Knowledge Base doesn’t cover a topic, or covers it poorly, get your correspondent’s attention and we’ll look at it. Changes made to entries are instantly visible in game and on the web site.

The link to the knowledge base out of game is http://station.sony.com/kb or you can find it in game by opening your Holocron (CTL H) and clicking on the Customer Service button in the lower left.
