Hi, am working a pure melee template :
Master Brawler
Master Heavy Swordman
Teras Kasi Artist 4.3.0.2
Fencer 4.4.4.0
Pikeman 0.0.4.0
Wich focus on very high defenses against status effect, posture change and knockdown. Also hit the cap of melee defenses
Defense vs Blind 80
Defense vs Posture Change 110
Defense vs Intimidate 40
Defense vs Dizzy 85
Defense vs Knockdown 115
Defense vs Stun 85
Ranged Defense 114
Melee Defense 136 (125)
Curently, my toon is Master Brawler TKA 4004 Master Heavy swordman, novice Fencer, Novice PIkeman and medic 4440.
Of course the final template won't have any medic skill (only 1 skill point left). I was wondering if someone else have a toon with this template and how it is effective w/o medic skills ? i might drop below 90 melee defense and take some medic skills. But while CoB and with 80% kinetic armor in PvE i doubt i'll need it. For PvP i think anyone who run alone w/o a doc/CM to heal you i don't think its worth it.
Any comments?

I'd say that medic would be far more useful that all that extra stat defense. I can't imagine a brawler without at least some basic medic skills. You're not getting that much out of the 20 points you're putting into pikeman. I'd personally take those points and put them into medic. If I'm not mistaken, you'd still cap on melee defense with this and only lose the +20 KD defense, and 30 posture down defense along with a few other stat defenses, bring you to 95 KD and 80 posture down. (more than enough)

Only time i ever used Med Nov was when i was lvling up in Pikeman....

The cap for melee defense is 150, right ? I was pretty sure of that... Maybe I need to rethink my two templates.
Please comment my templates the are posted in this Forum as well.

The cap for the defenses is 125, but that can be exceeded by some external influences (e.g., a Squadleader applying the appropriate boost to the group).
