Thread: Lunge2 effectiveness

I am master brawler, master TKA and novice fencer.
On high level MOB's or NPC's, I can get unarmedLunge2 to stick anywhere between 10% to 50% of the time I'd say.
On these same targets, I almost never get 1HLunge2 to stick... well never actually so far.
It seems to me that Lunge2 not only factors your target's level into it's effectivness, but your current level with the skill you are using. So, even though it is a master brawler skill, it is almost useless if you are a novice in the particular skill in use(UA, 1H, 2H, polearm).
I've never seen this explained, but can the more experienced brawlers either confirm or shoot down this theory?
It could also just be that unarmedLunge2 rocks compared to 1HLunge2, but I doubt that.

I have a master swords, master brawler char for about a week, and so far I only got it to work once.

its all about your range mods and acc. swords man has crap acc so it doesnt land as much but switch from a hammer to a scythe and you'll notice a diff. tka mine lands all the time. dont really hunt anymore, i just pvp mostly. but when i got swordsman i had MB and warcry 2 hadnt been nerfed yet so i lunged2 mobs and head hit 3 all day long. if you're not hitting its most likely acc issues or the mobs defense vs posture change and KD

Yeah, I've never had amazing success with it in PvE, (so I usually just use the first TKA KD) however, it works more often in PvP. In fact to me, it's more a PvP move than PvE. Unarmed Lunge 2 does seem to land more than 1-hand and 2-hand though, although the Pikeman one isn't bad either.
