Thread: Noob help: Notation 1/0/0/0

Heya mates,
noob here, 4 days (or 5 now?) online, a few basicquestions.
I often read the notation
1/0/01
or
4/2/3/1
Its according to skills and leveling, i get this so far.
Lets see my toon, iam a brawler (Novice) and want to make unarmed to TK master.
I read many guides, looking for postings for good hunting spots (iam Naboo) etc.
No the question:
What is the notation 1/1/2/0 (eg) standing for ?
Is it the "graphical reproduction"-notation for the skill-screen (CTRL-S) ?
So 1/4/2/3 would mean:
Box 1 in unarmed
Box 4 in one handed
Box 2 in Twohanded
Bos 3 in Pole
Is it meant this way ?
This would bring up another question:
Do i HAVE to level all for "trees" in Novice-Brawler ?
What if i dont want to level eg. pole ?
Or is this simply "bulls..." to make a master brawler without pole ?
So thats why it is common to make all 4 tress in Novice-Brawler up to box 4, cuz a Master-Brawler SHOULD have this ?
This would bring up the next question
:
Should i level in order
1/0/0/0
2/0/0/0
3/0/0/0
and so on
or
1/0/0/0
1/1/0/0
1/1/1/0
1/1/1/1
2/1/1/1
2/2/1/1
and so on ?
And the last one:
Iam UA3 so far, going for hermit spiders on naboo so far (grouped with my pet for bonus xp).
Got a VK 2.2, no armor (i COULDT buy ubese if u say so, what ubese than ?)
So what hunting ground u suggest ?
Hermits are blue to me now, i was killing two guards and a queen at the same time without dying (brandy, healing myself(weak) and berserk)
Plz consider ALL 4 questions in answers, thank you SO much in andvance !!!

Yes that is what it means.
You don't have to have master brawler in order to take on TKM. In fact there is really no reason to master brawler at all now.
As for hunting grounds I can't really suggest any. for the first2 boxes I would just kill everythingthat moves on naboo, tattooine, or corelllia. for unarmed 3 i did narglatch younglings For unarmed for and novice TKA go to dantooine and kill quenkers

The 0-0-0-0 you see is the current rank in that profession.
So if you were a novice brawler you would be Brawler: 0 -0 -0 -0.
lets say you were all the way up in Unarmed in brawler then you would be 4-0-0-0.
At that time you could go into TKA. But you couldn't go into commando, or smuggler unless you were a master marksman.
The master slot in brawler is just that a master slot for brawler you could have Brawler:4-4-4-4 and take all the professions like fencer, two-handed, TKM,(Commando,Smuggler if you are a master marksman). But you would not be a master brawler unless you had that slot, which grant specific skills.

The missionterms, espc. destroy missions.
I often read "i took the quenker mission, nice cash" blablabla.
When i open destroy missions on "my" Theed/Naboo term, i get mostly missions like
"Plasma thief camp", Level 9, 1500 cash
I can take two missions a time, i choose the waypoint close together and head out.
The exp. (UA and combat) is no good (a thief is about 130 or so), the cash not much compared to postings like "i make 10K a mission".
1. Is the missionterm "leveldependend" ? So showing me only mission that matches my abilities ?
2. Is the missionterm in naboo not that good like the term in/on eg. dantooine ?
3. Is the cash for level 9 missions always same ? Or is a level 9 mission on dantooine better paid than a lvl9 mission on naboo ?
4. Why doesnt SoE wrote all this in the manual ?
(No.4 doesnt need an answer for real....lol)

These all are missing in the holocron as well as in the printed manual from the box.

Well for help with the unarmed, I have a section on that in my stickied post so you can check there. Really, i found that mission terminals weren't very good to take once I was trying to get the 4th box in Brawler, I just roamed around the starting planet looking for stuff to kill. To master Brawler, you need to have all branches at tier 4, and then have 620 pts of Apprenticeship Experience.

without armor and buffs its still relativily simple to kill quenkers. Just imtimidate,berserk, and repeatwhen the berserk wears off.Plus after 1 mission you can afford to buy buffs

As you asked before, I would recommend getting a good set of Ubese armor, it will help immensely.
On Naboo, working up your other lines (one, two and pole) I would suggest cycling through the mission terminals and getting the higher level missions that will come up for you, which should be Kaadu's and Peko's. they should pay out around 2k a mission or so, on the kaadus take out the Males first as they will assist the females but not vice versa. these are fine to do with amor and no buffs. you could master brawler on naboo doing the above in no time at all, once you decide on your advanced profession i would recommend the advanced planets

I got a full set ubese 73% (one part is even 74) now.
I can solo a huurton lair on Dantooine, had 4 "dogs" around me the same time and my bars not even moved (i was buffed) - iam baaaad....Lol
J/K, but its growing...nice !
Nice cash, repays all "noob investments" !
Going for quenkers today, better XP.
I use the TKM, Rifle, Fencer template, its nice to pull out single targets from the lair/mob.
But sometimes, the social pack follows.....LOL

not trying to pick at you, but you only need pistols 4 and unarmed 4 to be a smuggler, Master Marksman is only for Commandos and Bounty Hunters.

To egt Master Brawler, you must have 4/4/4/4 Brawler. To get Master TK, you need 4/0/0/0 Brawler. Just about any armor with more than 15% kinetic resist should work just fine for now.
