....go look at the new patch notes
Guess it was decided. I hate nerfs as much as the next guy, but this change makes sense.

It's a fix, not a nerf, and I'm glad it happened. But would you really have been pushing so much for it if you weren't a Jedi?

That's a pretty low blow. I wasn't pushing for it. I read several proffesion and corr responses complaining about the issue. It was being discussed as issue, not brought up by me. This was the possible fix that made more sense to me than the others. I made this post to offer others to give me a better solution.
I set a jedi's mind on fire twice yesterday, Didn't warcry him, because to me as a player it seemed wrong, jedi or non jedi, had nothing to do with me having a jedi.
BTW I have a large selection of dot weapons and pvp often as a pikeman. So think before you flame me ![]()
I used to always enjoy reading your posts, they are usually well thought out.

well you can send my thanks to who-ever brought this issue up... it's been around for awhile, but I'm glad to see it being looked into... While it was a "strategy", I'm not really down with moves that have no counter... one more small step towards a playable PvP.... hope they keep coming...
I knew a guy that had a pike that I dont remember the exact specs, but it had mind posion and health fire, and you would die before the warcry 2 was up. so it was basically 1 shot kill. I didn' t ask for the fix, but am not upset it happened, I never used it, and I have several nice dot pikes.
But at any rate, I do take back my comment and apologize profusely.

Yeah, I did get a little out-of-line there, didn't I? Sorry about that. It was a valid concern and many people were talking about it, I know. I'm glad it was fixed. I apologize for the comment. It's just so easy to see that if Jedi weren't complaining about these things (scattershot/combos, CMs, warcry & DoTs), they may not have been fixed for a long time despite people complaining for a while. It's upsetting to think that as non-Jedi players, our opinions and concerns appear to hold less weight.
But at any rate, I do take back my comment and apologize profusely.

I'd just like to point out how much of a huge contradiction it is to come on here and try to play it off like you didnt condone the DoT/Warcry tactic Mapai. Maybe you should check out that post you have stickied, you know, the one that lists uses for Warcry and one of them specifically says "Dots Dots Dots, then warcry and /peace".
I didn't say I condoned or didn't condone the use. I said as a player I didn't use it. Most of that article was not about dots , but rather how warcry works and suggestions on how to make it effective( I have unsticked it for now, as it will need updated with this change)
I was never told it was a bug or not, I suspected it was. I started this thread to discuss the issue. ( then found out about the change at the same time you found out about it)
I hate to break it to you, but it was NOT because of jedi that this change is going into effect. The people that brought it up are regular proffesion corrs and regular players. If people stop and take a minute to think things from a different perspective. The jedi revamp is done for the most part. What was the biggest complaint from NON jedi about the GCW (current end game for non jedi) DOTs and their implementation. So if the jedi revamp was over and you wanted to start working on things non jedi to make their game enjoyable, what would you do? Hmm combat medic changes, this change to warcry, the change in BH as a temp fix to make them more in line with other proffesions skill point wise. Seems to me they are actually starting to work on some NON jedi issues that also effect jedi as well. Just my thought asa player.
